Fortunately, we had a tree right next to the pitch which provided good shade. We arrived relatively late in the evening, but managed to get one last table in the restaurant and were able to enjoy absolutely delicious local dishes there. really very nice sanitary facilities,... always perfectly cleaned. For us, it was a very good starting point for hikes and bike tours, especially to Merano, Bolzano and the surrounding area. Vacation at the Schlosshof in Lana? Yes, please - and preferably forever!
Anyone who has been here knows that the Schlosshof is not a hotel or a normal campsite, but a little paradise with South Tyrolean charm that sneaks into your heart. The grounds? Perfectly maintained, with a mix of a cozy vacation... feeling and an elegant touch, without being stiff or overcrowded. Pool? Crystal clear. Garden? Lovingly tended. View? Beautiful to kneel down to.
The food? Guys - DANGEROUSLY good. You go in hungry and come out with a permanent grin and a slight food coma. Fresh, regional, with a twist - just as it should be. And don't you dare miss breakfast. That would be like Christmas without presents.
The staff? A direct hit. No fake friendliness, but honest service with heart and humor. You don't feel like a guest, but like a welcome friend - who just happens to be staying in a rather chic vacation home.
Cleanliness? Absolutely top. Even the cleaning fairies deserve a round of applause here - everything shines without smelling like a hospital. You can just tell that people with a love of detail are at work here.
Conclusion: The castle courtyard is one of those places that you actually want to keep secret so that not everyone knows about it. But hey - good things have to be shared. So pack your bags and experience it for yourself. Once you've been there, you'll be back.
