We were more than pleased with the friendliness of the staff and Mr. Kemper, as well as the cleanliness of the restrooms and the entire campground. It’s definitely a place we’d love to visit again…!

Unfortunately, many of the campsites are a bit rocky, so it’s hard to get a tent stake into the ground. In addition, some of the campsites right by the lake are unfortunately a bit sloped, so you can’t really sit there or make good use of the space. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize that most of the sites by the lake didn’t have a direct electrical hookup per site. So we were forced to borrow long extension cords. Perhaps this should be noted on the website so that visitors can prepare accordingly.

Waschhaus 1 needs to be renovated, please. In consultation with the waterski facility, perhaps a weekly pass should be offered.

A summer destination for years
We’ve been coming here for a week every year for several years now. Everything is clean, tidy, and in top condition.

There’s always something going on at the adjacent water ski facility, and the bistro offers delicious food and drinks.

The small swimming cove is perfect for taking a dip.

We’ve already booked our stay for next year.

The combination of a water ski lift and a well-maintained campground is just great.

There isn't a proper store where you can buy bread rolls and basic groceries without pre-ordering.
Another great stay in Süsel!
The campground is very pleasant and quiet, yet it’s also perfect for anyone who enjoys water skiing or wakeboarding.

The lake is also great for swimming and stand-up paddleboarding, and long walks around the lake are very enjoyable (even with dogs!).

The restroom facilities are in very good condition... and were always clean. The overall appearance of the campground and the buildings is also appealing and shows that a lot of effort goes into maintaining and caring for all the facilities.

During my stay, I also had the opportunity to take a look inside the lodges (wooden cabins) and was thrilled! Everything you need for a relaxing stay is right there.

I’m already looking forward to my next stay!

Let's be honest
There were two of us in our RVs, and we were able to get some beautiful spots on short notice. I highly recommend it. I was there two years ago as well, and it’s just as cozy as it was back then.

A very good campground with a great atmosphere, clean facilities, friendly staff, and a beautiful grounds. It’s a fantastic spot that features a swimming lake and three water ski facilities. It also has a lovely playground and is set in beautiful surroundings. You can rent bikes and stand-up paddleboards.... Showers are included in the price, there’s no tourist tax, and the washing machine and dryer are available at an affordable rate. There are three shower buildings on the grounds, so you can always take a shower. It’s a quiet, family-friendly campground. The campground is family-run, and that really shows in how they treat their guests. You feel like part of the family. There’s a warmth there that you can really feel. And thanks to the water ski facility, it’s also a place with something special—you can watch and cheer on every athlete out on the water. I’d love to come back again and again.

A beautiful spot in a convenient location. You can bike to Timmendorfer Strand, Scharbeutz, Eutin..., (though it’s not as flat as people from the Ruhr region might imagine!) right next to the wakeboard course—a great spot even for non-riders to watch, stop for a bite, or go for a walk.
The campground itself offers large(!) sites, decent restroom facilities, and a bread roll delivery service (from the bakery—not pre-baked 😉)

Everyone is super friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is relaxed. The kids have fun, whether in the water or on the grounds/playground, and we parents can really unwind. The dog gets to enjoy himself too, whether in the water or on a walk all the way around the lake. The restrooms are all clean, and showers are even included in the price.

Top-Notch Campground
We stayed at a campsite right on the lake for two nights. The restrooms were very clean, there was a bread delivery service, and you could even rent a small sauna. The highlight for most people is the water ski facility. There’s a snack bar there with a lovely terrace. The food is simple but very tasty. The staff is super friendly, both at the front desk and in the dining area. We’ll definitely be back.

A quick break at a well-maintained campground—we'd love to come back!
The campground is very well-maintained; we parked in one of the RV spots right on the lake with a great view of the water ski facility.
The bread delivery service worked great, and the selection of items for sale—ranging from eggs to ravioli to coffee creamer—is commendable.
You can rent bicycles or... SUP boards. For our needs, everything we needed was there. The nearest supermarket is about 4–5 kilometers away, and there’s plenty to explore in the surrounding area.
