"Great short vacation - Beautiful place in the countryside, pitch large enough for WW, awning and car. Sanitary well maintained and no waiting times. Short distance to the lake and good connection to the cycle path network and the hiking trails. We will be back :-)

"Friendliness written in small letters - Hello, dear management of the campsite. You have a super nice place at the Freilinger See. The campsite is simply great. There is nothing to discuss. However, you currently have a lady at reception who I would not want to deny her qualifications, but whose friendliness towards the guests leaves a lot to be desired. To put it modestly, the friendliness of the older lady from Olpe is not just subterranean, it's downright awful! If this lady were employed in my company, she would be gone faster than she could think, despite her qualifications. According to her coworker, they probably don't care whether guests are satisfied and welcome. If that's the case, then it's their right. But then they shouldn't be surprised if the guests gradually disappear. As it was my second visit with them, because the first one was perfect, I would not have expected to meet such an employee. Thank goodness there wasn't one on our first visit. We were there with our family and one of them had a run-in with their employee. Believe it or not, there were many other guests who felt exactly the same way as we did with our family. If you can't get rid of the lady in question because she's even sitting in the management office, ask me and I'll tell you how to do it. This lady does a lot of damage when dealing with guests. I think she might be better off back in Olpe, where she supposedly came from. If you are short of staff, I will be happy to help you out. I hope our third booked visit with you is under a better star. I would be happy to talk to you personally. Keep your great place. Best regards C

"The Eifel is worth it! - This was our second time at the Eifelcamp and this time we were joined by our daughter and children. Everyone was thrilled and we'll be back in the fall. The natural caravans really suit our taste: I would have two suggestions: the heaters in the living room and bathroom are a bit confusing to operate. We were quite cold the first night. An instruction manual would be very helpful here. The same applies to the hotplate. It took me quite a while to figure out how to operate the appliance. A simple rotary knob would have done the trick, but manufacturers do everything they can to make electrical appliances as complicated as possible. Apart from that, everything is perfect. Next time we'll take the large trolleys, as there's more space, especially in the beds.

The Eifel-Camp offers the basis for a nice and unforgettable time in the Eifel. The camp site, which is surrounded by a magnificent wood and mountain scenery is located close to Lake Freilingen. The 5-graded camp site is opened all-the-year …and is an ideal starting point for diversified trips and excursions into nature and into the surrounding area. COMFORT and SERVICE have top priority in the Eifel-Camp. Families have found the ideal spot for a relaxing holiday in the Eifel-Camp. There is an extensive free time offer for every group of age: children’s playgrounds with slides, beach-volleyball, basketball, fishing possibilities at Lake Freilingen, free use of tennis courts (2 km away), boccia, open-air games, table tennis facilities, skate-park with a half pipe and a jump ramp, a sports field is close-by, a barbecuing hut and many more. A diverse and attended holiday programme takes place for children and adolescents. If you are interested in trips, you can find information about many places of interest at the reception desk where you can also hire bicycles, motor-scooters and motorbikes. Pony riding and carriage trips are offered especially for our young guests.

Directions: GPS: 50.41582,6.71878 From the north (A1 from the direction of Cologne): Stay on the A1 until the end, do not take the exit Blankenheim, but stay on the A1 instead! Turn left onto the L115 going into the direction …of the Nürburgring. After c. 1 km turn right and follow the sign to Reetz. At the end of the village turn left into the direction of Freilingen; Lake Freilingen is sign posted already. After another 1 km turn right and follow the sign to the Eifel-Camp, which you will then reach after a few hundred metres. From the south / Ahr valley / Nürburgring: You either arrive from the L115 coming from the direction of Hillesheim or from the Ahr valley (B258) out of the direction Blankenheim or Müsch (direction of the Nürburgring). In the village of Ahrhütte follow the L115 heading to Freilingen / Lommersdorf. Turn left into the direction of Freilingen; turn right at the large junction located next to the church in Freilingen. At the end of Freilingen turn left onto the bank of Lake Freilingen from where you turn left again to reach the Eifel-Camp.
