Beautifully laid out, very clean restrooms, and a lovely little swimming lake! Friendly, helpful owners! Plenty for younger children to explore and play. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful—perfect for walking dogs, for example. In addition to many play and sports options, two highlights are the gemstone hunt and the swimming pond. - JBJasmin B.Temmuz 2026Wonderful CampgroundWe had a wonderful stay at the Hafenmühle campground and felt right at home from the very first moment. The campground is truly a little paradise, especially for kids. The daily treasure hunt for gemstones was a real highlight every time and was eagerly anticipated.
We also really liked the beautiful... swimming pond, which provides plenty of fun, especially on warm days. The pump track is also a great idea in principle and was a hit with the kids. However, it could use a bit more maintenance, as it was already quite overgrown in places.
The hosts are extremely friendly, warm, and easygoing. We were even able to extend our stay by another day on the spur of the moment, which wasn’t a problem at all.
We really enjoyed our time there and will definitely be back. The Koch and Caudron families are so welcoming and always there to offer help and advice.
Hunting for gemstones in the swimming pond, the stream, and on the beach is just the best.
The sports field and the bouncy cushion are the kids’ hangout spots, where... they’re always making new friends.
We’ve already been to the Harfenmühle with six different grandchildren and have been regulars for 11 years—according to the kids, it’s the best vacation they’ve ever had.

Our children had a wonderful time at this well-maintained resort. They were able to move around freely since everything is very easy to navigate. There’s plenty to discover, great playgrounds, and the gem hunt was a highlight every... morning. The bakery delivers super delicious rolls. We’ll definitely be back. Even though it was almost 40 degrees, we found shade by the natural pond, where it was really comfortable. The owners were super nice and laid-back. A very nice, quiet campground with plenty of play areas for kids; the mill pond is great and safe since you can stand anywhere in the water. Good restaurant on site, top-notch restroom facilities, a bread roll delivery service—everything you need. Wi-Fi works well—but... it’s also nice that if you don’t use it, you don’t get any cell service out there in the woods anyway :) Very friendly, helpful staff! There’s plenty to explore in the area; this time we visited the gemstone mine—a great, interesting tour. The Wi-Fi login process is a bit cumbersome and could be simplified. There’s really something for everyone, especially the kids.
