Keep up the good work ;)Summer is coming to an end and the weekend promises more sunshine. Reason enough to load the bikes onto the motorhome and finally head to Fisching. Friends told us about it in the spring (raved about would be the right expression) and now we want to enjoy this wonderful campsite ourselves.
The reception... is warm, we feel immediately welcome and are allowed to choose a pitch. Our first impression is a mixture of amazement and anticipation. The site is clearly laid out, and at every corner you can feel the passion that has gone into the planning and implementation. Small and large details, such as the herb garden for guests or the area around the biotope, are pleasing to the eye and give guests a feeling of well-being.
The sanitary facilities are spotlessly clean, spacious and cozy, decorated with flowers and greenery, making us feel right at home.
We explore the surrounding area on our bikes and realize that we have to come back.
There is so much to see and discover.
From the Red Bull Ring to the observation deck or the star tower. We finally decide on the city tour and take in the pilgrimage church in Maria Buch. The Puch Museum, just one of several museums, and the Fohnsdorf thermal spa would be great alternatives in bad weather.
After our tour, we enjoy the unique peace and tranquillity that the place offers to escape the stress and hectic pace of everyday life for a while.
Lying in a hammock by the small biotope surrounded by silence in the midst of the lovingly tended surroundings, which are tastefully arranged with flowers, shrubs and grasses in harmony with nature ... there's something special about that.
Now I'm raving about it too ;)
But come and see this wonderful place in the beautiful Mur Valley for yourself. Regarding your comments:...
- The arrival situation depends heavily on how many guests arrive at the same time and how they park. We deliberately offer arrival slots in order to equalize this - so check-in is usually very relaxed.
- When capacity is high, there can be bottlenecks in the showers - we are aware of this issue and are working on solutions in the long term.
- The fact that you were unable to choose your own pitch is sometimes due to reservations and occupancy - wherever possible, we try to accommodate individual requests.
- The grass really should have been shorter before your arrival - thank you for pointing this out, we will pay even more attention to this in future.
- About the restaurant: We work as a family business with table reservations. Our restaurant is open daily from 5 pm, and we also serve coffee and cake on the terrace from 2 pm. And don't worry: we don't stop at 8 pm - we cook fresh and regional dishes for our guests as long as tables are reserved. 🍽️
Despite your criticisms, we are pleased that you were able to experience the strengths of our place - and we would be delighted to convince you even more on your next visit. 🌞

We would like to add something to your comments:
- Our teak furniture by the pond is deliberately left in its natural... state. The gray patina is not a sign of neglect, but ensures durability - and fits perfectly with the natural ambience of the swimming pond. The comfortable loungers and cosy hammocks would actually struggle with a pot of paint 😉
- There is a great variety of cycle paths in the Mur Valley - from connecting paths between farms to idyllic settlement paths. It's a shame that you've chosen routes that run more along roads. But you really can't talk about "mostly" here - the right choice makes all the difference, and we are happy to give you tips for particularly beautiful tours. 🚴♂️
- Our plastic shower cubicles may not look comfortable at first glance, but they are very hygienic. And in some "construction sites" with such cubicles, you would probably find more hotel than construction site. 😉 Nevertheless, we know that this is not to everyone's taste and are already working on an improvement.

- We are keeping an eye on the issue of overhanging branches in the driveways and will make improvements here so that larger vehicles can also park unhindered.

We take your comment about the... trees and low-hanging branches seriously - we make sure to keep enough shade, but at the same time keep the site comfortable for large campers.
It is true that there is no classic "nightlife mile" in the immediate vicinity - but the Mur Valley is a real nature and cycling paradise with many small inns and taverns that can be easily reached by bike or car. 🚴♂️🌄

We felt very comfortable there, absolutely recommendable.NegativaThe mirrors at the washbasins should hang a little higher, I could only see myself up to my neck in the mirror. However, complaining at a high level was noticeable.Very nice place!As already mentioned, a really excellent place with all the trimmings. The fantastic peace and quiet is also worth emphasizing. If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful place, which is also nice, friendly, loving and run by nice people, you should definitely stay there. Top! Be sure to take part in the cocktail evening at the Zape. Extremely quiet and inviting for relaxation. The hosts run the campsite with heart and soul and passion; the food is sensational and the hospitality equally impressive. The cocktails served... in the Zape on Mondays and Saturdays were excellent. We were there with our older children (aged 24 and 28) and they also thoroughly enjoyed their stay; they particularly appreciated the peace and quiet here at Camping 50 Plus. You shouldn't be put off by the age category - there is an open atmosphere in which younger guests also feel comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. The Pfandl family do a great job - keep it up! 👏 See you soon.
