The restaurant offers good quality food. The on-site shop is well-stocked, with prices that are just barely affordable.

Thanks in part to the reviews from campers here on camping.info, we decided on the Klausdorfer Strand campground. Our criteria were proximity to the beach, the size of the sites, and the location. Plus, the photos of the campground... made a positive impression.
The drive there put us to the test a bit, and our driver was getting a little nervous. A quick phone call to check in put our minds at ease. Upon arrival, we were greeted very warmly and shown to our site. Our site was in the last row (50), which turned out to be a very good choice. That way, we were very close to the sea and the public beach, and we only noticed as much of the hustle and bustle on the campground as we wanted to.
The restaurant on the campground is okay. Not a standout, but definitely better than what we’ve experienced at other campgrounds. We’d especially like to mention the little store. The staff was super friendly, the selection was more than adequate, and it was a nice place to strike up a conversation with the other campers in the morning while waiting for the fresh rolls.
Once the trailer was securely set up, the ladies of the trip were already off. The beach and the sea were calling. I have to say: it was a dream. In the morning after waking up, taking a quick stroll by the sea, or—when the weather’s nice—just letting the day unfold here. We devoured a book or two here.
This year, for the first time, we brought our own bikes. So we took advantage of the great location to visit the construction site in Puttgarden, among other things, or to ride down to the harbor for a fish sandwich.
Speaking of fish sandwiches… both the fish cart that was at the campground on Thursday and the food truck on Tuesday come highly recommended. The best burger I’ve had in a long time and the tastiest fried fish on Fehmarn.
