Quiet, clean, and beautifully located, with private lake access

During our brief visit, we didn't notice anything, except that the baked goods at SP weren't to our taste.

The lake, because there were so many different things to try out, and because the staff was so nice, and because the whole campground was so big.

The fact that there was no restaurant and no food at the campground

The campground’s location right on Lake Millstatt is spectacular. The campground is very well organized, and the washhouse is cleaned regularly. Most of the restroom facilities are fairly new. We were able to arrive at night and, after making prior arrangements, spend the night in parking lot P2.

The distance between people is very small; everyone is standing close together. The sinks for washing hands after using the restroom aren’t in the same room—they’re all grouped together in the hallway. You have to open the door to that area with unwashed hands. Unfortunately, I don’t think this is well thought out. One possible solution could be a door that opens automatically with a sensor.

Staff, beach, activities for kids, restrooms, entertainment.... They really put a lot of thought into things here. Everything is very clean and unique, and the staff are super friendly.

The campground has no downsides, but the forest bike trail is difficult to ride on without a mountain bike
