The lake is only 500 meters away and easy to reach via a gravel path. We didn't make a reservation and were allowed to choose our pitch from 6 pitches. Everything is there to spend a nice vacation. The pool is heated and invites you to swim even in bad weather. When... it gets a bit cooler, the doors to the sanitary facilities are closed so that you don't freeze while showering and washing. We will definitely be back. The children can ride their bikes very well due to the dead end and the flat location and love the swimming pool (sauna is also available), playground, indoor playground and the trampoline.
The staff are all very friendly and... helpful. The special friendliness of the Carinthians strikes us positively every time.
The campsite offers sunny and shady spots, depending on your wishes and availability. The staff try to fulfill all wishes. The pitches are large enough to accommodate caravans and cars or have a separate pitch for the car so that you don't feel cramped.
The guests are a good mix - from very young to old.
Due to the location, many activities are possible from the campsite or after a short drive: walking trails, hikes, cycling, mountain biking, boat trips on Lake Millstatt. The app provides a good overview of the weekly offers.
The Kärntencard is our tip if you want to do a lot (mountain railroads, boat trips, panoramic roads, thermal baths etc. are covered) and can be purchased at reception.
There is a restaurant and a small store on site for everything you need and breakfast. Spar is about 1.5 km away and is open daily.
Only the wash houses are getting on in years and could do with a renovation. But it was always clean and there was enough toilet paper, soap and towels.
And we liked the pizza better at the previous restaurant. But of course that's always a matter of taste.

Frank D.avgust 2025PozitivnoWe rented the Mirnock hut for 2 weeks with our dog. It is a much better solution than a normal hotel room. We had more space and a nice veranda. It was fully equipped, making it ideal for self-catering. The short distances to the dog walk through doors in the fence are very helpful.NegativnoThe only thing we have to complain about is the double bed, it was a bit narrow and a bit hard for us. But that is a matter of taste.2 very nice weeks with the dog.It was a perfect vacation for us with our dog.
On the recommendation of the junior manager, we took the Carinthia Card, which is highly recommended if you want to experience a lot and be out and about.
