As expected, it was fully booked, and there was a corresponding rush of arrivals at the front desk. The woman behind the counter, working in her non-air-conditioned room, went out of her way to be friendly and absolutely helpful.
Given the crowds, the... restrooms were also very busy but by no means dirty. I’ve stayed at other places during peak season where that wasn’t the case.
It’s not a place for a two-week vacation, but it’s perfectly fine for 3 or 4 days. The staff at the front desk, housekeeping, and the kiosk were all very friendly and helpful.

We didn't know if there was a sauna; it wouldn't have been necessary anyway, since we were in Nuremberg during the hottest weekend of the year and, luckily, were able to use the showers anytime for free and without any time limit. We went on lots of bike rides in the area around Nuremberg. The mobile home was perfectly equipped for us. The small kitchenette, bathroom, and entryway were perfect for two people. Mal!Ich war bei dort für 2 Nächte mit Auto& Zelt. Das es keine abgegrenzten Plätze gibt hat mich nicht gestört,aber das der Platz ungepflegt ist. Hundehalter lassen ihre Tiere überall hin machen,da bräuchte es einen eigenen abgegrenzten Teil am Platz, immerhin sind ja auch Kinder dort die spielen und das... auch barfuss!!. Ich bin ein absoluter Tierfreund,aber ich weiß das auf anderen Plätzen dort viel strenger mit dem Thema umgegangen wird.Das Laub von den Bäumen wurde schon lange nicht mehr weg gemacht, die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr gelangweilt bei meiner Anreise,gerade mal so hat sie ein "Hallo" heraus gebracht. Die Damen der Reinigung grüßen gar nicht und schauen weg wenn man kommt. Und die Toiletten und Duschen bräuchten wirklich einmal einen Generalputz!! In den Duschen ist Schimmel und es riecht nach Gülle aus dem Abfluss!! Habe mir unter dem Namen Knauss etwas anderes erwartet!! Auch das das Buffet am Platz erst ab 16:00 geöffnet hat,besonders am Wochenende kann ich nicht nachvollziehen.

Everything went smoothly during check-in and check-out. The
cabin was clean and cozy. And warm.
There were some cold days, but we were able to turn on the heat and stay nice... and cozy.
The kitchen had plenty of utensils, so we could heat up and cook our meals and enjoy them with other family members and friends on the large patio.
The shower is large and offers plenty of space.
There’s a parking spot right in front of the cottage, which was very convenient for loading and unloading our luggage.
At that time, many friends were at the campground; they had all been invited to the Jehovah’s Witnesses convention. The atmosphere was very friendly and family-like.
The children were able to have fun on the playground. It was quiet overnight with no disturbances.

The “Rock im Park” staff were completely unfamiliar with the area.
There was no information whatsoever on the campground’s website about the upcoming major event. We find that disappointing, unfortunately.

We were greeted warmly and everything went very smoothly. We were assigned a spot and drove through a half-empty campground. Spot number 60 was almost at the very back under some trees, and the access... road was extremely narrow. Under the trees, no grass, no pavers—just dirt and dry leaves. Awful for a Knaus spot. At the reception desk, we were told that they were completely booked—Rock im Park—and there was no way to get another spot. They complained to us about how difficult it was to assign all the spots. Not even for one night. After she finished her cigarette, the lady at the front desk generously refunded me for two days. In the morning, there were still plenty of empty spots. It rained overnight, and in the morning the site was like a motocross track. The restrooms are old but in decent condition. The restaurant has good food and friendly service. It’s a shame for such a big city to have a place like this, especially with the prestigious name KNAUS. We won’t be coming back here. But that won’t bother the campground management.
