I had heard about the Weserterrassen campsite from a friend and saw on the website that there was also permanent accommodation, perfect for us who were traveling without a tent.
The phone call with Birgit... was very friendly, cheerful and courteous - and ultimately successful with a very well-equipped apartment with a fantastic view of the Weser floodplains :)

We stayed in a sleeping barrel, which was super cozy. The site operators are really likeable and "always eager". Courteous, friendly and immediately on hand if you have a question or need help. What more could you want? Sanitary facilities simple but in good order and clean. On public holidays when the site is well occupied, it could perhaps get a bit crowded, I can imagine. Good starting point for motorcycling, cycling and hiking. Beautifully situated in tranquil surroundings for a great start or end to your vacation.NegativnoI can't think of any disadvantages.We have been coming to the campsite for many years. The campsite is a day's drive from Denmark and we use it as the first or last stop on our vacation. The facilities are neat and clean. Always a friendly and welcoming treatment by Herr Köster and his staff. Remember to bring a long extension cord if... you want to be directly on the river Weser.
