A good location for visiting Omaha Beach.
The campground is perfectly located for visiting Omaha Beach (20 minutes by car). The sites are wonderfully spacious and separated from one another by tall hedges, providing a pleasant sense of privacy.

The restroom building is showing its age, but the toilets and showers were clean. The layout of... the sinks took some getting used to for us. They’re located in the women’s restroom area, separated from each other by a higher wall.

The water supply and waste disposal facilities were located outside the campground and were also quite old, but they worked flawlessly.
A few meters away from them was some “junk”—not a very pleasant sight!

Very spacious campsites, plenty of privacy thanks to the hedges, very friendly staff, nice, heated pool

The restrooms are a bit outdated—no toilet seats, no toilet paper— but they're always clean
A beautiful, quiet campground with very large sites
We felt very comfortable there; the restaurant/bar was okay, and thanks to the friendly staff and plenty of space (large campsites), we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves.
Bread roll service and Wi-Fi at the front desk.
There are many important sites and memorials related to D-Day in the surrounding area.
Omaha Beach is a beautiful sandy beach.

Beautiful little place in the middle of the countryside
A small and well-kept place in the middle of the countryside. We received a friendly welcome and were able to pre-order bread for breakfast. The sanitary facilities were simple, typical of the country. The nearest town for restaurants, for example, is Port-le-Bessin. The approximately 6 km can be easily... managed by bike, although you have to pedal a little uphill on the way back.
From here, we visited the historical sites on the beaches and military cemeteries by bike.

Camping Reine Matilde
It was not our first time in Normandy and we wanted a relatively central campsite to explore the landing beaches of Normanie, but also the beautiful Bayeux!
Everything was to our satisfaction!
