Camping Easter at Lake Constance with a dog
We stayed at the campsite for the first time at Easter this year. 2 persons, 1 dog, Euro 58,-/overnight stay.
The location on the lake, we were front row premium pitch, is really wonderful.
There is a train stop right next to the campsite. Together with the Bodensee Card (included in the visitor's tax),... you can of course travel perfectly to Radolfzell or Constance, for example, as the train on this line stops every half hour.
In my opinion, however, what is completely wrong with a 4-star campsite and the above-mentioned price is that the sanitary facilities are not heated in the evening and there is no hot water, at least in the evening. Maybe OK in summer, but at the beginning of April at two degrees plus ... I also asked at reception after the first cold shower and it was explained to me that it was just a fault with the heating. However, it wasn't much better the following days in the evening at around 8pm. To describe the water in the shower as "lukewarm" is already well-intentioned.
Furthermore, I think water should also be available at the pitch in this price category. But it's a matter of opinion, personally I have to say that I didn't mind so much.
And finally, I think WLAN could also be included at this price, but it only costs an additional 1 euro per day.
Conclusion: For 4 stars and this price, we've had much more comfort at other campsites in this price range. Overall, however, the great location and the connection to the train make it well worth a visit.

We stayed at the campsite for 4 days at the beginning of September.
We can only share the partly positive reviews to a limited extent.
The site is beautifully situated at the end of Lake Constance in a nature reserve with direct access to the beach.
This was the main reason why we chose this campsite....
The sanitary facilities were clean and were cleaned regularly, but the number of showers (4 each) is very limited given the size of the campsite.
Now to the disadvantages:
The "numerous" shopping opportunities in Markelfingen - as described on the homepage - definitely do not exist. Walking three kilometers to each of the two towns....or alternatively by train, not really pleasant.
The prices in the lakeside restaurant are totally overpriced, especially when you consider that you have to order and collect your own food and drink, just like at a kiosk.
We were also annoyed by the very snippy, lecturing and unfriendly manner of the staff.
You got the impression that every question was one too many.
It is clear from the homepage that you can't take your dog into the water on the site.
However, the fact that the nearest bathing area is 15 minutes away from the campsite is unfortunately not mentioned here either.
There are certainly nicer campsites on Lake Constance, but for us there will certainly be no second visit.

Unfortunately we had a manhole cover on our pitch where a bad smell came from. Otherwise the pitch was perfect.

Three of us were there with our dog. We were very satisfied. Had a great pitch and super nice camping neighbors. The reception from the staff was mega. Super friendly and always helpful. The sanitary area was clean and was cleaned regularly. We would love to come back

The friendly reception and the very friendly staff at the restaurant were very pleasant. I was also informed of everything important at check-in. The beach was nice and clean and the sanitary facilities were cleaned several times a day.

I had a large pitch which was unfortunately very uneven. The pitch was so uneven that I couldn't close my awning. For the high price, I would have considered a level pitch to be appropriate. Here you could certainly fill up the space so that you can stand there better.

The campsite itself is a very nice place. There is a great playground for children and a volleyball field. The train connection was also great, as the stop is right next to the campsite.

The male staff at reception were very unfriendly, disrespectful and uncomprehending, especially towards children and teenagers. Their response to questions was stroppy and they also made us feel very uncomfortable. (And this was no exception.)

Absolute recommendation
We were greeted warmly, everything that was important was explained to us and then we were shown to our pitch.
We were always able to ask someone at reception if we had any questions or needed help. The sanitary facilities are spacious and were cleaned several times a day, even in the morning when most people were still asleep.
The baked goods in the restaurant were always fresh.

There wasn't a day when we didn't want to be there.

This is supposed to be a **** campsite????
- Arrived in heavy rain, barely found the pitch. There were no site instructions.
- Most of the gravel path was flooded after every downpour
- When asked at reception where there was a hairdryer, the answer was: We don't have any hairdryers, they're always gone straight away anyway...
- At a **** site,... we expect more real guest care on arrival.
- There are no shopping facilities for food within a radius of at least 2km.
- The long lunch break at the reception is not very hospitable.....
- the prices in the restaurant are rather overpriced.

Campsite in a perfect location on Lake Constance. But also totally overcrowded. Hardly any space between the Wo-Mos on the standard pitches to set up your tables properly. Sanitary facilities, on the other hand, are fine.
The restaurant, on the other hand, offers a maximum of average food, although this... will probably be enough for most people.
Of course, the perfect connection to the cycle path and the train stop right next to the site should be emphasized.

The site has nice sanitary facilities, everything is clearly laid out and clean. Very friendly staff. On arrival you get a voucher for either prosecco, espresso or beer, a great gesture.
Washing machine, dishwasher, rental bicycles and much more.

Well-kept and quiet campsite
Well-kept and quiet CP with very friendly operators. The ideal place to relax. The sanitary facilities were clean and the food at the campsite's own restaurant was good. Shopping facilities are available in the immediate vicinity. From here you can get to Radolfzell relatively quickly by bike and the S-Bahn to Constance is right outside the entrance. We would love to come back!
