Very large, but unfortunately just one street with shops and nothing else

Indoor pool with saunas and a hot tub, close to the beach, with a promenade just around the corner.

Unfortunately, the trash area—which you have to pass on your way to the exit and the washhouse out front—smells a bit unpleasant.

The accommodation itself is truly exceptional and unique. The pool, the sauna, and the private outdoor area are definitely a highlight. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Tea, coffee, milk, and sugar are provided. Our unit was right on the street, but that wasn’t a problem because it was well-screened off, so we could still enjoy some peace and quiet. We didn’t notice any noise from the neighboring houses.  The resort itself is beautifully laid out, and the breakfast was exceptionally good and special. The staff was super friendly. We were able to check in an hour early, and check-in and check-out were hassle-free; we practically had a parking spot right outside the door.

Unfortunately, the Lerchennest wasn't very clean. The entire place was covered in cobwebs—in every corner, in the shower, on the kitchen shelves, and, unfortunately, all over the back wall, especially behind the bed. On the first night, we unfortunately found a huge spider sitting in our bed. I figure if the place had been thoroughly cleaned, this little friend would have been spotted by the cleaning staff as well. The cutlery and cups weren’t clean. The doormats and armchairs were sandy. There was a hair clip in the sauna that wasn’t mine, and the sauna accessories were missing. There was also a lot of dirt in the corners of the outdoor area, and the hot tub was somewhat dirty with sand and gnats. Unfortunately, the daily pool service that had been promised never showed up, so I ended up cleaning the pool myself on the second day. The water feature in the outdoor area smelled extremely strong and unpleasant due to the stagnant water and the many dead animals in it. When the sun shone all day, the water stank so badly that you could smell it throughout the entire courtyard. Outside, too, everything was covered in spider webs. Of course, you can’t prevent that, but it’s something that can be quickly removed.  In theory, you can overlook a few things, but the price is, of course, quite steep, and for that we expected a bit more cleanliness. Since it’s such a great place to stay and we were so excited about it, the first impression was, unfortunately, quickly sobering. It seems that the property, which was originally lovingly designed, isn’t being lovingly maintained.

The water park and the indoor playroom are a great alternative when the weather is bad. There are plenty of convenient amenities nearby, like a bakery, restaurants, a pizzeria, and a supermarket just around the corner. The staff at the front desk gave us a very warm welcome.

The facilities in the restrooms vary greatly (presumably, renovations in the main building are still pending). One shower was very dirty in the evening and one sink was dirty in the morning, but that wasn’t a problem—there were other showers and sinks available. It’s a shame that some guests disregard the pool rules in parts of the water park, especially in the sauna area. People aren’t using towels there—it’s a shame for the wood and the furnishings. Perhaps this area could be separated in the future.

There was nothing to complain about

We really liked the whole resort, and the fact that the activity package allowed us to take full advantage of everything, such as the water park and the gym. The staff was very helpful and super friendly. All in all, a wonderful vacation 😎🙌🏻

Since we had a son in a wheelchair and Henrik didn’t have separate access to the water park, we had to carry Henrik several meters and up some steps. We also couldn’t get into the community center with the wheelchair because the doors are too small. It would be a huge relief for our next stay if this could be changed.

Very friendly front desk with great hours. Beautiful, spacious kitchen with seating, and plenty of cooking stations both inside and outside.

Shower functionality. It is not clear that the cold water needs to be turned off. We often found the water running. The cleanliness of the restrooms varies. It should be checked more often.

The place, the people, the beach, the weather... Nothing beats it.

That new restroom facility was a great experience for us. We hadn't been to the Henne Strand Resort in a long time.

The license plate recognition didn't work, so we always had to enter the code.

We stayed at the Henne Strand Resort again and, as always, we felt very comfortable. Our pitch (71) was wonderfully quiet and sunny.

Nothing negative for us

Very nice place, cleanliness is just great. Everything from toilets, shower rooms, kitchen, oven everything really 1a clean. Very quiet on the site. Swimming pool, saunas all great. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Courteous service. In the evening, the site is checked by security staff. Kitchen can be used free of charge. The place deserves more than 5 stars.

In the NatureSuites the bed was unfortunately very small so that it is narrower for 2 people so we will probably book a lark's nest next time.
