We received a friendly welcome on arrival and were able to move into our booked trekking pod very quickly, everything was totally uncomplicated
We liked the centrally located campsite close to nature.
The people were all friendly, we liked the trekkingpod very... much and it was well equipped. The sanitary facilities were always clean, some things still need to be improved, but the beginning is okay.
The food in the Lebenszeit Bistro was good!
We would come again!Automaticky preložené. - Stefan L.august 2025Pickle barrel, Spree & pure hospitalityWe arrived at the KNAUS Campingpark Lübben on Friday morning and received an extremely friendly welcome as soon as we checked in. Although our stay only lasted one night, it felt like a small vacation full of wonderful moments.
We spent the night in an oversized cucumber barrel - cozy, original and... simply something special that you should definitely try out. In addition, the sanitary facilities were extremely clean and modern, giving you the immediate feeling that you've come to the right place.
The camping park itself is quiet, close to nature and at the same time family-friendly. There is a playground for the children, boat hire within easy reach and plenty of space to simply enjoy nature. We were particularly impressed by the bathing area directly on the Spree. A clean ladder takes you into the water, which is wonderfully clear, and just a few hundred meters away is a jetty that invites you to take a walk or go on a water adventure.
Our personal highlight was a night-time boat trip, which Thomas recommended to us as soon as we arrived. Gliding through the silence of the Spreewald for two hours was an unforgettable experience that we would recommend to anyone.
We were also impressed by the restaurants on site. It likes to open a little earlier or stay open longer when guests are still sitting together. Our table was lovingly laid for breakfast and the team practically read our every wish from our lips. David not only looked after us very well with his service, but also provided us with lots of good tips. And Thomas, the boss, with his warm, open manner, immediately made us feel that we were not just guests but welcome as friends.
You can reach other restaurants in the immediate vicinity in about ten minutes on foot, but you hardly need to leave the campsite because everything you need is there. And as a nice surprise, there were even a few little goodies, which we were very happy about - but I don't want to give too much away, let us surprise you.
Our conclusion: the stay was far too short, but incredibly intense and relaxing. No parceling out, which makes it pleasantly lively! Fantastic location with direct access to the canal, the (very beautiful) little town, the swimming pond with beach and the cycle path - it really doesn't get any better than this. The relaxed atmosphere... of the team is transferred to the guests, very pleasant. Everything seems rock solid, not over-excited - "healthy-normal" in the best sense of the word, which is becoming increasingly difficult to find in the West. The sanitary facilities in both houses are good and clean - there is absolutely nothing to complain about. The city center and the barge port are within walking distance.
What we particularly liked was the friendliness of the staff and the manager. The relaxed atmosphere of the team is transferred to the... guests, which is very pleasant. Everything seems rock solid, not over the top - in the best sense "healthy-normal" as it is increasingly difficult to find in the West. We immediately felt at home. A stay in the Spreewald is required. The daily price with bike and tent is also fine. The access to the water system of the Spreewald and the network of cycle paths makes many activities possible. A place to feel good - we will definitely come back.

We found a tarte flambée (product from the freezer in the restaurant, which is very... nice in itself, to be on offer for €14, but not worth the price😳

One point that I found a pity: there is soap and a way to dry your hands in all the sanitary facilities. Except in the disabled toilet... (which also has a changing station and baby bath). That's a real shame, as you really have enough to carry with a baby and can't even wash your hands.
