The playground, children’s activities, and the lake were all just a short walk away. Everything was clean. The restrooms were a bit dated, but everything was clean. That’s... more important than having everything brand-new but not clean. Lots for kids: a lake slide, pedal boats, go-karts, etc. Bread roll delivery service. Lots of long-term campers with kids. It was also vacation time. We had some water damage in the skylight. The owner installed a new window on the spot. You don’t get that kind of service everywhere when you have a problem with your RV. We were completely thrilled with our stay at the Sperrfechter Campground. From the moment we arrived until we left, everything was just perfect: the great location, the beautifully maintained grounds, and the very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere.
What stood out... to us in a particularly positive way: They really go above and beyond here! They’re constantly renovating, investing, and always coming up with new ideas to make the campground even more beautiful.
Cleanliness is always a top priority, and the entire team is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We felt completely at home from the very first minute.
One thing is certain for us: We were more than satisfied and would love to come back again and again! All the facilities were in excellent condition, and the staff was consistently very friendly.
The campground is beautifully landscaped, and the swimming lake is an absolute highlight—the kind you don’t come across very often. Everything here was also very clean and in excellent... condition, including the dock, the boats, and the slide. The variety of sports activities and the playground also stand out.
We especially appreciated that there was ample power available on the bike and tent field, so that even several e-bike riders could charge their bikes without any problems.

Unfortunately, the campsite we’d booked online at the last minute was no longer available, so we were assigned a pull-through site as an alternative. Up to that point, everything was fine—the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. The restaurant on the... campground was completely overwhelmed during the evening rush hour. This took a toll on both the service and cleanliness.
Unfortunately, the spot for passing-through guests is right next to the soccer field, so our campervan was hit by the ball several times. The last time was at 10:20 p.m.: When we once again confronted the partying, teenage long-term campers about this issue—including the need for quiet at night—it escalated into a full-blown verbal altercation, during which the main instigator (who was actually a staff member’s son!) stood with his chest puffed out in front of my wife, insistently and intimidatingly asserting his supposed “customary right.” He claimed, “After all, I’ve been here for 16 years and know the rules better!” and that we “can just park somewhere else!!”
The 10–15 other teenagers who rushed over didn’t exactly help ease the tension, and unfortunately, the campground operator was either unable or unwilling to resolve the situation reasonably.
So he’d rather have paying guests leave at 11 p.m. with a crying, frightened child than restore order. We’ve never experienced anything like this before. We’d like to thank the teenagers for escorting us to the entrance gate and for their friendly farewells, and we wish them every success in their personal development. They’re a bit older (which I don’t really mind), but they could be cleaned a few times a day.
