The only unfortunate thing was that we were not allowed to enter the nearby family campsite with dogs, so we had no opportunity to shop or go to a restaurant. Personally, it was too loud for me at the World Cup site in the harbor camp. We stood on the corner and at 6am the vehicles come and pick up and bring whatever. We arrived without a car (took the train to Senftenberg banhof and then a cab to reception; it is also possible to take bus 620 from the station). The accommodation was very clean, the windows had mosquito nets on them which made it easy to leave the windows open... at night. It was very quiet during the days and evenings - the perfect atmosphere to recharge. The site is pet friendly, and my dog was greeted by all the staff. My dog also enjoyed her first dog ice cream at the cafe! The cafe staff were really kind and friendly as well (Uta and Andre were super helpful, and always offering great service). The showers and toilets were also very clean, well lit, and well stocked. In the area there are many trails for walking, which provides great views and enjoyable smells through pine forests.
