We love it in the Zillertal, it's so versatile - skiing, snow hiking etc. in winter and in summer taking the gondola up the mountain or simply hiking from the campsite - the Aufenfeld campsite is an ideal starting point in all directions... 👍
The campsite also has a lot to offer, especially for families - swimming pool, bathing lake, indoor playground, outdoor playground for young and old - everything has been thought of!

- Jan W.rugsėjis 2025Top campsiteWe had a fantastic time. We were three adults with two children aged 3 and 5 in a camper van. Above all, we all really enjoyed the huge range of activities on offer. The large climbing hall, the swimming pool with a fast slide and pools of varying depths, the swimming lake and the large playground were... all absolute highlights. The train station is a 15-minute walk away and the waiting time can be easily bridged with children in the adjacent playground. We always received a friendly welcome at reception and the whole complex is very modern and clean. We would have liked to stay longer and will definitely be back soon. And cold, but well, it's only heated by the weather. But it was enough for swimming. The pitches are big enough. It's just a shame that you have to pay extra for a lot of things. It would be nice if the small cars could be checked to see if the battery is still good.
The Kettcars... are great for the children, but unfortunately we found the rental times a bit short.
At Mohrenhof in Franconia, you could hire them for the whole day or half a day.
It was also a shame that there wasn't much to do in the western town. Even though it was the last week of the vacation, it would be nice to offer the same as before. (Shows etc.)
It would also be great to point out the children's activities on arrival and tell more about them here.
Perhaps you could also install a meter so that you know when you have exceeded the free electricity capacity. 1€ per kWh is not exactly cheap.

The last 2-3 days, however, it was very noisy, there were "wood chips" being made almost all day, which is not so nice and quite annoying.
Maybe you could wait... until the end of the season so that the camping guests aren't bothered by it.
However, that was the only thing I found unpleasant.
The sanitary facilities were super clean, it was also pleasant that there was no "camping flair", there are self-contained toilets and showers, we used the free dishwasher all the time, very pleasant, the staff from reception to the cleaning staff are all super nice!!!!!

Entrance/changing rooms in the swimming pool in need of renovation, but this is currently being addressed. Swimming pool great.
