The site was a bit of a challenge for setting up the folding trailer because of the unevenness of the ground, but that’s also because we just recently purchased it. On the other hand, the site was very nice under... the apple tree, and the shade was especially welcome in the warm weather.
The restrooms are always clean. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The restaurant is great, too. We’d love to come back. There wasn’t a large pan for frying meat, but when we asked, they gave us a pan from the restaurant. The beds were very comfortable, though, and the owner and his family were very friendly. since we couldn’t properly set up our 3x3m awning with our Marco Polo.
The site was also right next to the road. I’d like to point out, though, that we booked on very short notice. It was a shame that there weren’t enough restrooms in the newer restroom building and that the lighting on the paths was distracting at night. It also would have been great if there had been a small step for the kids at the sink in the bathroom or a deeper sink. There are plenty of activities for kids and an awesome team that takes care of everything (I have no idea how they do it all, but it’s impressive). Everything is super clean and tidy. The restaurant is great and the food is really good.
I honestly can't say anything negative. On a day with heavy rain and strong winds forecast, a staff member even came by to check if we needed anything to secure our tent. Not even once did they ask, “What are we going to do now?”—a question we usually hear quite often. By evening, we—Grandma and Grandpa—were also exhausted from the sun and all the... activities at the swimming pond. So when it came to the question, “What should we play now?”… it was just too much.
Would an evening activity for the kids be a way to make their stay with you even more enjoyable?
As I said, it was a great experience all around for everyone.
As for the accommodations, the double room (for adults) was quite cramped, especially on the sides. If we were to stay there again, we’d ask if there’s a better option available.
