Unsafe Rude staff Lack of customer service
THEFTS, UNSAFE, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
I stayed at Camping de Covadonga (Cangas de Onís) in July 2025 and experienced two thefts:

My Ray-Ban sunglasses disappeared at the reception desk during check-in.
A newly purchased camper power bank was stolen in the shower area, while my partner and I were taking turns. The battery was clearly visible,... and someone covered it with a towel and walked off with it.
THE WORST PART? The total lack of security at this campsite:
❌ No surveillance cameras.
❌ No access control or supervision – anyone can enter without being identified.
❌ The “lost and found” is just a random shelf behind a rarely staffed reception desk.

MOST OUTRAGEOUS? The complete lack of customer service:
❌ The staff knew nothing and offered no help. I reported both incidents and got no support, no concern, no solutions – just evasive answers.
❌ I had to insist to speak with the owner, Nacho, who wasn’t even at the campsite (“running errands”). They kept stalling until I finally got him on the phone, and only then did he show up in person.

When he did, he was arrogant, condescending, and showed zero empathy. He told me that security was my responsibility, and that I should’ve left the battery at reception (yes, the same one that’s usually empty). According to him, the shower area is a “public space”, so they have no obligation for what happens there – which makes no sense.

BOTTOM LINE: No apologies, no accountability, no concern. They mock your complaint and shrug off everything. To them, you’re just paying for a patch of ground. Everything else? Deal with it yourself.

Honestly, you’re better off sleeping on the street – it’s cheaper and probably safer.

⚠️ AVOID THIS PLACE. NOT WORTH A SINGLE EURO.
My formal complaint has already been filed with Consumo Asturias.

Touristic
Lovely touristic place, with beautiful mountains around. Nice and clean shwers, toillets. We spent here only 1 night.
