Camping Seeshaupt Ülevaated
- MGMaria G.august 2026Great for travelers passing through, and a wonderful spot for longer stays, tooWe were able to get a spot that had just opened up on the spur of the moment for 3 nights. The welcome was incredibly warm, and we felt right at home throughout the entire campground. Our kids also felt completely at ease. The direct access to the lake, with the shaded playground and the nice snack bar,... was great. The restrooms were clean and plentiful. There was a great selection of delicious rolls and croissants for breakfast (available by advance order).
There really isn’t anything negative to say. The only minor annoyance for me was the shower, which has an automatic shut-off feature. I don’t know if that really saves water, but in any case, it doesn’t make for a “relaxing shower” for me.
Not a negative for us, but perhaps good for others to know... It’s about a 20-minute walk to the Edeka supermarket or the boat dock. The bus stop, however, is practically right at the campground. Toward evening, though, it’s difficult to catch a bus. But a little exercise never hurt anyone.

It’s a shame, and one very negative aspect was the meadow by the lake. Unfortunately, it was full of dog poop—you had to be careful not to step in it. Plenty of opportunities for bike rides. Cycling around the lake is highly recommended. A little-known gem is Lake Fohn, which is easily accessible by bike. The restrooms are a bit dated, and in my opinion, there aren’t enough toilets for the size of the campground. There’s a bread roll delivery service even on Sundays; it’s not exactly cheap, but the rolls are okay.
The location right... on the lake, with a kiosk on the beach, is perfect for a stay at Lake Starnberg. - ANAndreas N.juuni 2026Relaxation Turned into StressWe were at XXL Site Number Two, right in front of the playground, so from 9:00 a.m. until 11:24 p.m., we had children playing and screaming, as well as adults talking loudly with their children, right in front of us. Of course, that doesn’t exactly contribute to a relaxing weekend and was very, very... disruptive for us. Otherwise, the campground is actually very nice. The lake access is nice, the restaurant staff at the beach go out of their way, but it could be cleaner. The ground and the whole atmosphere really aren’t inviting. Otherwise, I can recommend the campground—maybe not our specific site, but the campground itself. On top of that, the site was also very, very expensive. With all fees included, around 90 €, I find that absolutely excessive.
