"Not a good campsite - Ice cold showers, worn and noisy. Lack of maintenance everywhere and zero security in terms of fire, electricity and theft.

"Beautiful place for excursions in the region - The site is located in the village by the river and is quite spacious. There are various pitches, mostly on grass. On a plateau, by the river etc. We had a pitch down by the river at the bathing area with a great view, but these pitches were very cramped. The check-in was friendly and smooth, we were able to choose one of the free pitches. There is a sanitary facility where it was a bit cramped at full capacity. The shower was unfortunately a bit disgusting, there was hair hanging in the drain for days, which clogged it. The restaurant is cozy, you can sit outside with a great view. There is regional food such as elk steak or Renburger, fish. However, it was not very cheap. Dogs are allowed everywhere in the camp, even by the river. You can go for a nice walk from the campsite. Visit the old church. 5 minutes walk to the supermarket. Nice excursions in the region such as Fulufjället National Park, elk and reindeer farm etc. Swimming in the river in August not so great as the river is very cold.

"Small but nice - Terraced site with direct access to the water. Reception gives valuable tips on the surrounding area. Restaurant is highly recommended. Ideal starting point for the Fulufjället National Park with its breathtaking waterfall (approx. 90 m high).

"One of our best - Campsites on our 3-week trip to Sweden. Beautiful terraced campsite with a view of the river/lake. Close to Fulufjället National Park with lots of hiking opportunities. On our terrace at the very front, the pitches were marked by boundary stones set into the ground. Service facilities were very clean and functional. We particularly liked the kitchen with dining areas overlooking the lake. Wi-Fi is only available in the immediate vicinity of reception. Due to the terraces, you couldn't hear anything from the through road in the lower part of the campsite by the river. The local supermarket is within walking distance. There is a restaurant on the campsite, but we didn't try it.

"beautiful large square in the middle of the village with access to the water - The site is located in the middle of Särna on the main road and next to a school. Due to the considerable size of the site, however, there are beautiful spots on various levels almost down to the water of the dammed and therefore very slow-flowing Österdalsälven, which is just as suitable for swimming as it is for paddling. From the largely treeless site (meadow) there is a beautiful view over the water and the mountains in the distance. Directly adjacent is a small open-air museum (historic farmstead) and an old church, which almost has the character of a Norwegian stave church. In the reception building there is also a café with indoor and outdoor seating, where you can get sandwiches, cakes, ice cream and simple dishes. Sanitary facilities are ok, but rather old. So is the kitchen. The Fulufjället National Park is easy to reach by car from Särna. There are also nice short hikes, but quite a lot of tourists. In Särna itself are some stores and local. Overall a nice place to stay for 2-3 days.

"Central location - Located between a busy road and the lake. Pitches as non-parceled meadow. Lower part with access to the lake. Close to the beach. Upper part sometimes a bit noisy due to the road. Friendly staff at reception who give lots of tips for excursions. Lots of hiking opportunities nearby. There are several sanitary buildings on the site. All very clean and can only be used with a chip card.
