"Tranquillity over the Rhine Valley - The location is top notch! In the middle of the Natura2000 forest high above the Rhine, a cleverly terraced site with a very good restaurant and very nice and friendly staff / owner. I would love to come back!

"Quiet campsite with a view of the Rhine - Very pleasantly quiet campsite with a view of the Rhine. The pitches are terraced. The access road through the vineyards is suitable for small and medium-sized caravans, but is about 5 km long. Motorhomes have to cover this distance every time they want to leave the site. There is a short access road for cars without a trailer, H<2.3 m. Sanitary facilities are sufficient and in good condition, now pleasantly warm and heated in the off-season. Restaurant right on the pitch. Friendly operators. Hiking trails through the vineyards as well as the Rheinsteig start at the site. We will be back!

"This is the right place to unwind. - This place is beautifully situated in the vineyards with a view of the Rhine. We stayed in one of the wooden cabins for 2.5 weeks and enjoyed every minute. The restaurant on site is highly recommended, fresh and delicious. The operators and the entire staff are simply great. Always informative, helpful and super nice. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back. Petra & Hans from Bielefeld (with Nuca and Struppi)

"The campsite between Lorch and Rüdesheim - This campsite is tucked away in the forest but with a view of the Rhine. The access road leads from Lorch through the vineyards (one-way street) to the campsite. The site is laid out in terraces. Our pitch was spacious enough. The car must be parked in the parking lot. Electricity is charged according to consumption. Our pitch was a gravel lawn. The sanitary facilities are clean but getting on in years. However, the showers have been renovated. In the valley on both sides of the Rhine, the road and train traffic is extremely loud. However, the site is surprisingly quiet, you can hear the traffic, but it is not as disturbing as the traffic directly in the valley. You can reach Assmannshausen directly from the beautiful site via the Höhenweg. Lorch can be reached on foot (5km) in 1 hour. From there the train goes to Wiesbaden and Koblenz. There is a restaurant on the site, but we didn't try it. You can order bread rolls the day before. We paid around €25.00 per day for two people with caravan, dog and car.
