"Have a great time at Campingfass Essen Werden - I felt completely at home in the camping barrel and on the site. The campsite is right on the Ruhr and only 5 minutes from the Essen Werden S-Bahn station. Very good public transport connections in all directions, the rail replacement service also ran smoothly. I would have liked to stay longer, but have already rented a camping barrel again for 4 days at the end of August 2025.

"TrekkingPod+ - Mir und meinem Partner hat der TrekkingPod+ sehr gefallen. Er ist natürlich auch noch recht neu, dass sieht man natürlich, was die Sache natürlich von Sauberkeit und Neuheit sehr hervorgehoben hat. Ich könnte es mir anhand der Sanitär Anlagen und der Lage auch vorstellen mit meinem Partner nochmal vorbeizuschauen, auch mit normalen Campen.

"Recommended for a transit. - Sanitary blocks too far apart. No sensible plot layout. Pitch surface with coarse gravel is not advantageous. No water connection at the pitches.

"I would love to come back - I can understand the 3.9 reviews on Google ZERO. The campsite is beautifully located directly on the Ruhr with great cycling and hiking trails in the middle of nature. Although the site is very large, it is very quiet. Only the airplanes to and from Düsseldorf are a bit annoying. But that's not the campsite's fault. The team at the check-in/out is very friendly and competent and also helps with all questions and problems. The sanitary facilities in the rear area are new, ultra-modern and spotlessly clean. I can't judge the front sanitary facilities because I wasn't there. The whole campsite is fenced in and the gate with access to the Ruhr is locked at night, which I think is very good. The only thing I find overpriced are the prices in the restaurant. But the food is good. All in all, a well-deserved 5 stars 👍

"Weekend - The staff were very friendly, the sanitary facilities were always clean, large shower cubicles. The pitches were big enough. The location is particularly good, you are immediately on the Ruhrtal Weg.

"Comfortable campsite in a good location - Well-equipped and very well located campsite, very good and clean sanitary facilities at no extra cost, friendly staff and a good Italian restaurant on site. Perfect location to quickly reach Zeche Zollverein, Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord and other tourist highlights of the Ruhr area.
