Zur aktiven Erholung findet man hier neben den schön angelegten Badestränden Möglichkeiten zum Surfen, Segeln, Rudern und Angeln. Für Radwanderer gibt es gut ausgebaute Radwege durch die ausgedehnten Naturlandschaften der Lausitz.
