"A great vacation - The other day! We were at the Eidertal campsite! A very quiet place to relax. There are many excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity, the North and Baltic Sea coasts, the Wadden Sea and of course the island of Sylt are within easy reach. Even the Hanseatic city of Hamburg is relatively easy to reach and a nice day trip.

"Well - As previous reviewers have already written, the sanitary facilities are old. Unfortunately, I have to say that the whole site now looks old and unkempt. There are caravan and awning ruins everywhere, free pitches are not mowed and the grass is meters high, there is no disposal station at all, so we had to dispose of our grey water and the chemical toilet at home. Unfortunately, we also had the impression that the sanitary facilities were not only old, but also not particularly clean. The reception was very nice and we had a great pitch right by the pond. We were warned about the nightly frog concert by the operator, but that didn't bother us either. The restaurant and its menu make a good impression and there were always guests there. As we didn't eat there, I can't give a rating in this respect. Just climb over the dyke and you're on the banks of the Elbe, which really shows off its beauty here. The pool area had just been cleaned of the winter dirt and refilled with fresh water, so we couldn't use it (yet). Overall, I can recommend the place, but this will soon no longer be the case if the operator is not prepared to spend some money on renovating the sanitary facilities in the near future. He should also invest a little more time in maintaining the site.

"Great vacation - Quiet location directly on the Eider. Very well-kept swimming pool on the site. Restaurant with very tasty food and good value for money. Attentive and friendly staff.

" - Hello everyone, We were about 2 weeks on site and had a nice vacation, the people are very friendly. The sanitary facilities are old but always clean and cleaned twice a day. You can also eat very well in the restaurant, the prices are normal for the area and we found the swimming pool on the site very pleasant and the site is also very child-friendly. Conclusion: if you don't need a fancy place, this is the place for you.

Friedrichstadt, wegen seiner Bauten der niederländischen Backsteinrenaissance und seiner Grachten auch als "Holländerstadt" bekannt, ist nur etwa 20 km entfernt.
