Description

Profile

Our charming campsite is nestled in the romantic Werra Valley, right in the heart of Germany – in Witzenhausen, North Hesse, in the Werra-Meißner district and the Frau Holle Land Geo-Nature Park. Witzenhausen is famous for its cherry orchards – …during cherry blossom season, the landscape turns into a breathtaking spectacle, and the cherry trails are a true highlight! It’s also Germany’s smallest university town, home to a satellite campus of the University of Kassel focusing on ecological agricultural sciences. Surrounded by fairytale forests like the Reinhardswald and Kaufunger Wald with the Hoher Meißner, the area offers countless activities: hiking, biking, water sports, horseback riding – or just pure relaxation. Nearby towns such as Hann. Münden, Göttingen, and Kassel (home of the Documenta art exhibition) are easy to reach. Whether young or old, we want all our guests to feel at home and enjoy their stay.
