"Super place - We have been permanent campers on the site for over 30 years. The operators are always available. Never a word of disapproval or excessive demands. Even after such a long time, we still feel at home. We love coming here in summer and winter.

"nice, generally clean campsite with friendly staff... - My first time here, but certainly not the last. Overall very clean and well-kept campsite with friendly staff. Restaurant nearby, otherwise secluded and quiet. Good hiking opportunities, ideal for unwinding.

"Forest bathing - The campsite is in a relatively quiet location on a small side road with little traffic. The site is ideal as a starting point for hikes and bike tours with MTB or racing bike/touring bike. The forest is just a few steps away and the run for dogs is ideal. Spacious pitches on meadowland, perfectly level. Sanitary facilities very well maintained and clean.

"Natural campsite with very clean sanitary facilities - I have really never experienced such clean sanitary facilities. No hair from the previous guest in the sink or shower, no leftover food in the sink...great. The buildings and sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, but well maintained. Personal and friendly contact with the owner family. We were accompanied to the pitch. Good Wi-Fi throughout the site. Hiking trails directly from the site, with hiking recommendations. Bread roll service and small store also available. Small disadvantage, located directly on a road. However, it was not very busy. The place itself does not offer a restaurant, a restaurant is within walking distance.

"Our camping premiere - it was great! - We've owned our caravan for three weeks now and chose Valmetal campsite for our camping premiere. We didn't want a fancy glamping 5* site, but rather peace, nature and a well-kept site where we could gain our first experience. And that's exactly what you get with Olaf and Katja! We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our pitch. Olaf even showed us how to maneuver and connected us directly to the electricity. There is no fresh water or waste water at the pitch, so don't forget your jerry can and waste water cab ;-) The site is right next to the forest, so you can go for long walks with or without your dog. Dogs are welcome on the site! Mountain bike enthusiasts are also well catered for. The site is located directly on a country road. In the fall it was quiet, especially on Sundays, but during the week there are some trucks or tractors on the road - but everything is still very bearable and not disturbing. The sanitary facilities are exemplary clean and available in sufficient numbers despite the Corona measures. It was a bit chilly in the morning and the motion detector in the shower turned the light off a bit too early for my taste, but that's complaining on a high level. You have to order the bread rolls the day before. They come from the bakery in the neighboring village and are delicious and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, you can only pick them up from the kiosk from 8.30 a.m. - that was a bit late for us, as we are the ones who wake up the "early bird" in the morning ;-) We took advantage of the Fort Fun special as we had a 13-year-old teenager in tow. The theme park is only about 8 km away. You save about 1/3 on the ticket price and don't have to queue at the ticket office, but can go straight through to the entrance. Internet access via Wi-Fi is available, but relatively slow, especially in the evening. Mobile internet via LTE (Telekom) works without any problems. Conclusion: we were very satisfied and will definitely be back!

"Short vacation was great - Super nice owners. Extremely dog-friendly. Hikes can start directly from the campsite. Great landscape around the site. Bread roll service with super tasty bread rolls.

Hier finden Sie Ruhe …und Entspannung bei einer Wanderung durch die herrliche Natur, oder erkunden Sie die schöne Sauerländer Landschaft mit dem Mountainbike, Tourenrad oder Motorrad. Durch unsere ruhige, aber dennoch zentrale Lage erreichen Sie in kurzer Zeit viele Ausflugsziele in der unmittelbaren Umgebung: den Freizeitpark Fort Fun, das Sauerländer Besucherbergwerk in Ramsbeck mit dem Bergbauwanderweg, das Islandpferdezentrum Sauerland, Erlebnisberg Kappe in Winterberg mit Sommerrodelbahn, Bikepark und Kletterwald, das Naherholungsgebiet Hennesee und vieles mehr. Wir bieten Ihnen parzellierte Stellplätze auf Rasen, 2 sehr gepflegte Sanitärhäuser mit Babybad, Trockenraum, Waschmaschine und Trockner, einen Grillplatz, einen kleinen Lebensmittelladen mit Brötchenservice, Gasflaschenservice, einen Kinderspielplatz und eine Tischtennisplatte.
