"Quietly located place in beautiful nature - In addition to the beautiful location, the good and inexpensive restaurant was convincing; very committed and friendly operator, who felt he was everywhere; sanitary facilities and toilets are fine, but the showers are chargeable. The disposal area for the chemical toilet is a bit outdated and the area for draining the gray water is technically difficult to use, as the drain is right in the middle and therefore the water cannot run off (area is not sealed, but ground level) Overall a nice place, which also offers a small pond for swimming and is also ideal as a stopover, as it is close to the highway (approx. 10km). We would love to come back!

"Idyll with swimming pond - A lovingly equipped site, which shows its venerable age in the area of the (predominantly) permanent campers, but which also has a lot of atmosphere. The newly created natural swimming pond is second to none, the small rustic restaurant serves rustic but very tasty food, and the operators are friendly and welcoming. The swimming pond, which is surrounded by many beautiful details, is anything but muddy and we didn't experience any mosquitoes. An ideal place for a stopover, but certainly also recommended for a longer stay.

"Great nature campsite with lots of peace and quiet - A beautifully designed natural campsite in the middle of a nature reserve with friendly and very helpful owners. We had a great time here - the site is quiet and relaxed, with food and drink available in the restaurant from Monday to Sunday. There are different pitches on the site - you can be right in the middle or on the edge with even more peace and quiet. The surroundings are wonderful, the site is right next to a lake in a nature reserve (so you're not allowed to swim there), but the operators have created a small bathing area, which is especially nice for the children. You can hear the water birds all day long and wake up to herons, Nile geese, cormorants, sea eagles, buzzards etc. - just great! This little idyll is about 30 minutes from Nuremberg, about 10 minutes from the A9. There are pitches for camper vans and caravans, but also a meadow for tents and some permanent campers - a good mix. There are also wooden huts for rent with a view of the lake. You can order bread rolls in advance and the sanitary facilities are clean and really tidy - as are the washing facilities! We can highly recommend the site for nature lovers, as it's a great place to relax and stay longer, as the Franconian and Upper Palatinate region really has a lot to offer (Franconian lake district, picturesque Franconian towns, great cycling and hiking trails, Nuremberg, beautiful countryside, etc.). We would love to come back!

"We were disappointed. - We were passing through Austria last year and were absolutely thrilled with what the new operators had achieved in a short space of time. We were given a friendly welcome and felt comfortable despite the hustle and bustle on the site. This year everything was different, the welcome was unfriendly, even rude and cheeky. The site manager seemed overwhelmed by the rush of guests (due to an extended national holiday weekend). We had reserved a pitch in advance using a booking form on the website, or so we thought. On arrival, however, we were first told in detail that the only person who has any say here is the site operator. Unfortunately, the operator was not friendly during the entire conversation and we felt completely unwelcome. We originally wanted to stay for two nights, but then preferred to drive on the next day, especially as the pitch was so cramped that we couldn't even sit anywhere near the caravan. We've been to this site several times before, including with the previous owners, but we won't be coming back. The appearance of the site has continued to improve, it looks well-kept and modernized.

Profile

Der idyllisch gelegene Campingplatz liegt mitten im Naturschutzgebiet. Hier kann man sich ideal von den Strapazen des Alltags erholen. Ein kleines Wirtshaus mit leckerem Essen lädt zum verweilen ein. Der Platz ist seit Januar 2020 im Besitz neuer Betreiber, ist …familiengeführt und wird mit viel Liebe betrieben. Von hier aus führen verschiedene Rad- und Wanderwege in alle Richtungen. Im nahen Umkreis befindet sich Berching mit der idyllischen Innenstadt. In Richtung Norden liegt die Albrecht-Dürer-Stadt Nürnberg, mit vielen geschichtlichen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Für Badespass sorgt das unweit gelegene Fränkische Seenland mit dem Rothsee, Brombachsee und Altmühlsee. Hier findet jeder Erholung und Freizeitbeschäftigung. Der Campingplatz ist leicht zu erreichen und hat schöne geräumige Stellplätze.
