"Unfortunately, there has been no improvement despite the new operator - Unfortunately, No Improvement Despite the New Operator Unfortunately, despite the new operator, our stay at the Hooksiel campground did not turn out the way we had hoped. We were there with our two children and, unfortunately, had a very stressful vacation. During our stay, there was significant noise pollution and even a physical altercation that required the police to respond with three patrol cars. The security staff were also physically assaulted. For a family campground, such a situation is, of course, very disturbing. We also found the treatment of the dogs—which, as far as we could tell, belonged to the guest in question—particularly troubling. He kept several dogs in his trailer or in very small cages for extended periods of time. Among them were Bull Terriers. In our view, this situation warrants much closer scrutiny and monitoring, especially when the welfare of the animals may be at stake. We also found the noise pollution from the LNG terminal ships to be disruptive. At times, loud noises could be heard at night. In addition, there was occasionally a strong smell of chlorine, which was apparently related to the ships’ cleaning processes. Another drawback for us is the distance to the beach. It is located about three kilometers from the campground. Anyone wishing to drive to the beach must also expect parking fees of 8 euros per day. Our conclusion: In our view, the campground is currently only recommended to a limited extent for families. We had hoped for improvements from the new operator, but unfortunately did not notice any during our stay. Overall, it was therefore not a relaxing family vacation for us.

"The last naturist place on the North Sea!!! - The campsite was sold to the Überland Group. They want to offer campers more. At the moment, however, it is only being painted. Permanent textile campers have to change their pitches after decades. The result is that those who are affected are very angry. More offers should be created. Not much has been implemented so far. The barrier times will be shortened from 22:00 to 20:00. The restaurants in Hooksiel will be pleased about the sharp drop in reservations. The naturist section of the campsite is to be closed in 2027. The FKK VEREIN (NBWF) is to pack its bags after 74 years of club history. This is really unbelievable!!!! Giving up an absolute monopoly (unique selling point)!!!! We are curious to see whether the Überland Group will succeed in making its concept a success. Conclusion!!!! Will the Überland Group keep its promises? Questionable! Will prices be increased? Of course it will be more expensive. Will we visit the Hooksiel campsite again? Never !!! Anyone who treats nudists/textile campers so ruthlessly has no camper's heart. In our view, the Überland Group is purely profit-oriented. We will give every Überland Group campsite a wide berth. This is our personal impression and opinion that we got on site.

"Unfortunately getting on in years - Unfortunately getting on in years. That probably sums it up best. Yes, it's a large site, but it also has large pitches. The site is a little away from the beach, but in a quiet location. If you are in the first row to the sea, it is simply beautiful. Everything is available but unfortunately no longer "state of the art". Permanent campers fence themselves in to the neighboring plot with privacy walls, which can make it difficult to maneuver trailers. What's more, it's not pretty. Nevertheless, we felt comfortable.

"Not recommended - The site is in poor condition and nothing is being repaired. There are four sanitary blocks, one makes a good impression, two are on the second floor with stairs and one is a container with a toilet and washbasin. You have to walk long distances to get to a toilet block. The disposal of faeces is even more difficult - the normal disposal points are often blocked and, according to a permanent camper, one of the automatic devices has been defective since last year. The price is far too high for this service. I won't be coming here again. We were in the textile area at the far end.

"More and more expensive, but nothing is invested - The campsite is unfortunately getting more and more expensive, nothing is being invested! Wash houses are probably under monument protection! There is absolutely nothing on offer for young people! They are just bored! It's sad, even though we've asked several times! We were always told we were there, but unfortunately the campsite operator can't help it if the thumbs always go down from above! Stars should be withdrawn!
