Vom naturbelassenen Platz fällt der Blick auf den See, der Erholung beim Schwimmen oder Wandern, Ballspielen oder Angeln bietet. Es können Fahrräder oder Boote gemietet werden. Der … See ist mit der Havel verbunden und eröffnet damit die Möglichkeit größerer Touren. Die Umgebung bietet verschiedene Sehenswürdigkeiten, wie die Stadt Brandenburg, das Naturschutzgebiet und das Domstiftsgut Mötzow mit seinem Nostalgiemuseum mit über 12.000 Exponaten aus der DDR-Geschichte. Für Kinder bietet der dortige Streichelzoo mit dem angrenzenden Spielplatz eine schöne Abwechslung. Potsdam und Berlin sind in erreichbarer Nähe.
