"OK for long-term campers, but tourists aren't welcome - I arrived at the campground at 1:15 p.m. while passing through. There were no signs indicating the entrance; I happened to find an opening in the fence where a laminated piece of paper was hanging, pointing out where the registration desk was. A very narrow path led through the long-term camper sites to the washhouse; at the last spot before it, there was a small “STOP” sign. There was no waiting area. At one of the permanent camper sites, there was a sign with the opening hours: 9 a.m.–12 p.m. and 2 p.m.–6 p.m. Since I didn’t want to block the path, I drove into the tourist camper area—a small meadow without designated spots. Another trailer was already there, so I wanted to park a good distance away from it. An older gentleman was watching me as I did so. Once I was parked where I wanted to be, he came over and told me I couldn’t park there. I’d have to park on the other side of the other camper, “because of the wind” (???). Then he unlocked the electrical box and rudely demanded that I hand him my power cord. He plugged it in and locked the box. I asked him if I could check in right away. “No, not until 2:00 p.m.” (He was already there, and it was 1:45 p.m.! So at exactly 2:00 p.m., I went to his RV and rang the bell on the permanent awning. He came and opened the door; I was about to step inside when he brusquely turned me away, saying this was his home, that I should stay outside, and that I should give him my ID. Luckily, it wasn’t raining—otherwise I would have been standing out in the rain longer. There’s no toilet paper in the restrooms, but he said he’d give me some. When I asked how long I’d be staying (just one night), he rolled his eyes (as if I were causing him so much trouble just for one day). The best part was this: I couldn’t leave until 9:30 a.m.—after all, he needs his sleep. He said he was doing this voluntarily and wasn’t a paid employee. Bottom line: Tourist campers should steer clear of this campground! You can’t get much less service than this.

"Campsite OK, operator unfriendly and impersonal - My rating for this site is 4 on a scale of 1-10 considering the age of the facilities and the very dismissive behavior of the site operators. I would not recommend this site.

"Best to drive on straight away - The staff (a married couple who live on the campsite) are extremely unfriendly and rude. You constantly feel like you are being watched and are reprimanded like a child. I don't know how you can let such staff loose on the campers. I also can't explain how the few positive reviews such as newly renovated, clean and friendly staff can come about. None of this is true. We will never visit the campsite again. Apart from the cleanliness and the staff, the campsite is in a very nice location

"The groundsman is unfortunately very unfriendly - See above. Next time I'd rather go to another one. All in all: not recommendable, unfortunately, as the place is beautifully situated

"This campsite is not recommended! - - on arrival, despite having a reservation, you are grumbled at (driving too fast across the site, anyone can say reservation, ID card (no please, no thank you), lights off in the wash house and door closed, this is a proper campsite!) - the sanitary facilities were very unclean and were not cleaned in the evening or in the morning and probably not for some time... - no indication of anything - as a non-permanent camper you are eyed and reprimanded by the permanent campers: Lights off again in the sanitary area - Permanent campers are allowed to party late into the night and "heat up" the site with loud music - Conclusion: If day campers are not welcome, you should say so and well-kept sanitary facilities and friendliness should be standard! For us: Once and not again at the Ederblick campsite

"Simply bad - Even for one night, €15 per pitch is overpriced, because you don't actually get anything for it except a piece of grass. The sanitary facilities are outdated and, above all, not clean; we didn't use the showers at all. The registration desk also gave the impression that you were more of a nuisance than a welcome. It's best to choose one of the pitches in the surrounding area.
