Nördlich im Landkreis Bamberg liegt der kleine Ort Rattelsdorf mit restaurierten Fachwerkhäusern, Baggersee und historischem Ortskern. Der Campingplatz Rattelsdorf befindet sich direkt am Badesee und vermietet seine Stellplätze vor allem an Dauercamper, die sich Stellplätze für die gesamte Saison von … Anfang April bis Ende September sichern wollen. Plätze für einzelne Tage oder Wochen können auf Anfrage beim Platzwart ebenfalls angemietet werden. Auf dem Gelände gibt es einen kleinen Kiosk, an dem sich Campinggäste mit Snacks und Getränken versorgen können. Aktive Urlauber finden in Rattelsdorf einen guten Ausgangspunkt für Radtouren durch das landschaftlich hübsche obere Maintal vor. Im Ort gibt es zudem verschiedene Sportanlagen, unter anderem mit Tennisplätzen. Für junge Urlaubsgäste sind mehrere Kinderspielplätze vorhanden.
