"Highly recommended place - We stayed at the small campsite for 2 nights. The booking was straightforward, without having to register online. We received a very friendly welcome. The site manager and his wife were always helpful and friendly. The sanitary facilities and scullery were always very, very clean. There are many permanent campers on the site, who were all very friendly. The pitches are well maintained. We were able to choose a pitch. Beautiful hiking area with many hiking trails. Also ideal for e-bikes. Highly recommended.

"Very quiet and well-kept place - We stayed at the campsite for a weekend. We enjoyed the peace and quiet on these days. You can get over the lack of a bread roll service, because the bakery - with very good goods - is only a few minutes' drive away. The pitch allocated to us was very large and we had plenty of room to move around We felt completely at ease this weekend and will be back.

"Quiet campsite in the middle of great hiking trails - We spent a week on this very quiet site. We received a very friendly welcome and were able to choose our pitch. The sanitary facilities were very, very clean and adequate. There is a large playground for children. The fur noses find enough run on the very well-kept place. Great hiking trails directly from the site. Heidenheim is perfect for a stroll through the town with lots of stores. Gliding airfield next door does not disturb. We would love to come back.

"Highly recommended place - Very nice campsite with old trees, the place is a bit outdated, but you can see that it is lovingly maintained and kept in order. The sanitary facilities are remarkably well maintained and very clean. The site is very quiet, the airport next to it doesn't disturb at all, as there is hardly any air traffic (glider airport with towing operations). The operators are extremely friendly and always ready to help. We were only there for one day due to time constraints, but we will definitely be back

"GUEST FRIENDSHIP is very important here - We have never been welcomed so warmly at a campsite by the operators and permanent campers. Everything was very unobtrusive. The sanitary facilities are not the most modern, but they are spotlessly clean and that is worth much more to us. For water/waste water you have to walk a little further than the edge of your own pitch, but that's exactly why we felt reminded of camping in the good old days, when you didn't expect the luxury ambience of a 5-star hotel when you went camping. And it was still sooo nice. It certainly wasn't the last time we stayed at the Amalienhof campsite. Because this area around Bartholomä is very scenic and entices you to go on many tours.

"Pure relaxation and hospitality - The course with the illustrious name Amalienhof is located in Bartholomä, the village that has placed itself "on the edge of heaven" in its marketing. This is quite understandable, as the climate is really pleasantly dry and always one or two "coats cooler" than in the scorching hot valley locations due to the location on the karst plateau of the Ostalb. The fact that the site is a little outdated has advantages and disadvantages. One advantage is definitely the park-like tree population, under which you can set up camp as a camper. The disadvantage is that the infrastructure is of course no longer the latest and quite basic. This didn't bother me as it is kept spotlessly clean. This brings us to the next big plus point of this campsite - the couple who run it, Heike and Frank, who not only write hospitality in capital letters, but also really live it! You feel welcome despite the corona restrictions, which were implemented easily and quietly on arrival in the campsite's own "test center" installed outside. As an enthusiastic cyclist, I enjoyed the well-developed, varied forests of the Ostalb and the charming Wental with its rock formations and will definitely be back!
