Vanuit het zuiden: De autoweg A9 vanaf Amsterdam / Haarlem richting Alkmaar volgen. Voor Alkmaar de autoweg N242 aanhouden, richting Heerhugowaard (ring Oost). Bij het 5e stoplicht linksaf naar de N508. Dan bij het 2e stoplicht, oftewel de T-splitsing, rechtsaf … de N245 naar Schagen volgen. Bij de afslag 'Tuitjenhorn' rechtdoor. Bij de volgende afslag 'Dirkshorn, de Banne', linksaf. Hier ziet u tevens een ANWB campingbord. Na 200 meter rechtdoor rijden ziet u aan uw linkerhand de hoofdentree aan de Bongerdlaan.
