"Great long weekend! - We (my wife and I) were on the site for a long weekend (08.08.2025 - 11.08.2025). We have been spending a vacation or a long weekend on Norderney from time to time for over 20 years, now for the first time with our motorhome. The ferry crossing was cheaper than we had feared and the site more than exceeded our expectations! We received a very friendly welcome from the operator and were taken to the pitch. We were even able to choose the pitch we liked best (I only had the 25m cable reel with me, 50m would have been better 😉). The sanitary facilities and toilets were very clean (can't be old) and were constantly cleaned. The site offers a bread roll service, everything else can be bought in the nearby city center (approx. 2.5 km). The adjacent restaurant offers delicious food and good value for money. Fresh cakes and pies are also available there. Pets are not allowed on the campsite (Wadden Sea National Park and adjacent breeding area), which suited us because my wife is afraid of dogs. I can only warmly recommend the campsite, it certainly wasn't the last time we were there!

"Recreation in nature - Beautifully situated in the countryside, the mudflat meadow is available for vacationers, permanent campers are in the dunes! Since 2021 there has been a top restaurant in the Reethus, which enhances the site.

"Quiet beautiful location - The location is super quiet, the campsite is very clean. However, the food is not good. An overpriced restaurant and the bakery is over 1km away.

"Have a nice vacation ! - We have been there for many years and still feel very comfortable. Especially with children it is a paradise and when the weather is good there is nothing better.

"Disappointing ! - We were as a couple from 19.07.2014 to 26.07.2014 on this campsite. The place itself fits to Norderney, just typical with large lawns and many rabbits. The site is about 15 minutes by bike from the city center. The plots are not separated, you don't know where the actual boundaries are. In itself, so far okay. But the sanitary facilities are not good at all. You get the feeling you're in an open-air swimming pool from the 1970s. Everything is very confusing, very old entrance doors and you wonder if you want to shave as a man. There are plenty of washbasins but the mirrors are at the back. So you have to jump from mirror to basin to shave. The showers are there but everything is very old. There are spiders in the shower room from time to time, dead flies and snakes everywhere, could be removed with a long broom. It takes a bit of effort to shower there. When we made our reservation, nobody told us that nobody was available in the office after 16:00. You definitely need shower tokens for the showers, luckily we had nice neighbors who helped us out with shower tokens. All in all, we had the feeling that the operator doesn't need to do anything to fundamentally overhaul the campsite, because the guests come to Norderney anyway. For camping to get used to, you can give it a try. The island of Norderney doesn't make up for everything... When visiting the other campsites on the island, the general state of the sanitary facilities is similar. That's why changing campsites was out of the question. We will gladly vacation on Norderney again but not for camping...
