Michael G.October 20263.0Michael G.October 2026AdvantagesCleanliness and RestroomsNegativesNot ideal for RVs. Very unfriendly operators. Very long midday quiet hours. Unclear electricity bill. Noise disturbances caused by the operator during the quiet hours he has setVacation in Saxon SwitzerlandThe campground is ideal for hikes in Saxon Switzerland. Cleanliness and restroom facilities are very good. Not an ideal spot for RVs with a canopy. The operators are extremely unfriendly. The electricity bill is unclear. There is a quiet hour from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., which is relatively long, and the operator does not adhere to it when it comes to noise pollution.Automatically translated. No campers have found this rating helpful yet. They say it’s a great place to bike—if you want to get hit by cars, buses, etc., on the narrow road, then it’s fine
Just skip this campground!
We had booked for 12 days and left early because we were fed up, but we still had to
pay for 12 days—it was a total rip-off.Automatically translated. No campers have found this rating helpful yet. Timm s.August 20194.0Timm s.August 2019AdvantagesGreat sanitary facilities Friendly teamNegativesSomewhat small WOMO pitches No water / waste water directly at the pitch No free WLANSuper friendly campsiteActually, everything from the other reviews is already written here. I would also like to add that the team is super friendly and helpful. The tips for hikes, refreshment stops etc. were simply great and made our short stay in Saxon Switzerland a super experience. Thank you for that.Automatically translated. No campers have found this rating helpful yet. Be the first! - 4.0TRThomas R.June 20194.0TRThomas R.June 2019Advantages- Quiet location - Very clean sanitary facilities - Good price (13€/night for one person with camper)Negatives- Pitch not too big, but sufficientSmall squareSmall and well-kept campsite on the outskirts of Hinterhermsdorf. Ideal starting point for hikes in the rear part of Saxon Switzerland. The sanitary facilities are new and very clean, as are the washing-up areas. There is also a small store and homemade cakes in the afternoon.Automatically translated.2 campers found this rating helpful.
- 4.0GKGerhard K.June 20194.0GKGerhard K.June 2019AdvantagesNice operators, clean, direct connection to public transport (1mtr from the square, unless you want to go in the other direction, then 5)NegativesToilet and washing facilities and shower togetherNice little CP with direct connection to public transportWe wanted to stay one or two nights and stayed 3. Everything was neat and clean. Bread roll service and you can also buy something. The village also has small restaurants. Ideal for hiking. You can also take the bus to more distant destinations and walk the rest. The only drawback was that the showers, washbasins and toilets are located together. Brushing your teeth can be unpleasant when others are using the toilet.Automatically translated.1 camper found this rating helpful.
- 4.0AMAnnett M.June 20194.0AMAnnett M.June 2019AdvantagesVery clean, right in the hiking areaNegativesnoneSmall but niceWe were here at Whitsun and, like all the other places, it was very full. At this time of year, it really makes sense to book in advance. The pitch was ok, even though we were on one pitch with two caravans (both at full price) and it was not possible to set up awnings or the like for both caravans.... The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities deserves special mention. Even though the number of toilets and showers is very limited and queuing was unavoidable, everything was always very clean. The same applies to the scullery, thank you for that! There were also fresh bread rolls every day, so thumbs up for that too! The site is a paradise for every hiker and nature lover. You can leave your car here and set off straight away. If you get lost, you can take the bus back, the bus stops in both directions are right by the square. You can also be in the Czech Republic in no time (Sebnitz border crossing). All in all, highly recommended, we will definitely come back again at a quieter time.Automatically translated.1 camper found this rating helpful.
- 5.0HAHeike A.May 20195.0HAHeike A.May 2019AdvantagesHere you'll find everything a camper needs!A place that makes the camper's heart beat fasterWe liked this campsite even before our arrival in anticipation, because the way the operators described the place, but also the village of Hinterhermsdorf and the possibilities of various activities on their homepage, it could only be a direct hit.so it was.Mr. and Mrs. Peh are very concerned that the... camper is well on their quiet and clear place. We don't know how they manage this, but during our ten-day stay the sanitary facilities were not once objectionable, the bread roll service was always first class and all requests (e.g. for excursions in the unique region) were answered to our complete satisfaction.Even a small shop with the most necessary things or a small playground for the little ones are available.it's just fun to camp there.if the hiking boots are wet, there are shoe dryers...what a useful detail.in bad weather you can also warm up in the lounge with cooking facilities.for the camper with a tent certainly not bad to know. The nearby restaurant is also to be recommended (not just at coffee time, because there's also delicious cake and coffee in the reception at Pehs). Full praise from us ......we will be back!!! Michael and Heike Anton from Havelland.Automatically translated.1 camper found this rating helpful.
- 4.0OGOlaf G.October 20184.0OGOlaf G.October 2018AdvantagesThe site is very tidy. The sanitary facilities were super clean. Bread roll service and cakes. HelpfulNegativesnoneAt the end of the world ;-) a light opens up...The campsite is super small, very informal and extremely clean. You can tell that the owners attach great importance to this. The site is located right in the heart of Saxon/Bohemian Switzerland, so you can start hiking straight from the site. The reception has suitable hiking tips ready. You can also... get comprehensive information material about Saxon Switzerland there. Hinterhermsdort is connected to Bad Schandau by bus, so you can leave your car at home. It would be nice if you could use this free of charge, but unfortunately the spa card does not allow this. We were delighted and will certainly be back.Automatically translated. No campers have found this rating helpful yet. Be the first!

- 5.0RGRob G.August 20175.0RGRob G.August 2017AdvantagesLocation Cleanliness and tranquillityNegativesreally no one can findSimply superSimply a campsite as it should be. Tents on the campsite and campers/caravans on separate pitches. Sanitair was great and always clean. Friendly hosts. And all this in the middle of Saxon Switzerland. frank f.May 20175.0frank f.May 2017AdvantagesPeace and cleanlinessNegativesNoneGreat placeWe stayed here for a week with our dog. Great place as a starting point for hikes in Saxon Switzerland. Absolutely quiet, clean sanitary facilities, bread roll service and nice operators. We will definitely be back.Automatically translated. No campers have found this rating helpful yet. Be the first! - 5.0NKNorbert K.October 20165.0NKNorbert K.October 2016Advantages- Good pitches - Top sanitary facilities - Barbecue hut can also be used in bad weather - Helpful, friendly operatorsNegativesIf at all, WLAN for a fee, but who goes to the Sächs. Switzerland to surf ? ;-)Very friendly and helpful. We will be back.We arrived during the lunch break, but were nevertheless shown to the pitch and the registration was completed later. This friendly and helpful attitude on the part of the operators continued throughout our stay. I would also like to thank the man of the house who helped my grandparents late in the evening.... Now to the campsite itself: The pitches are partly parceled out, partly open, all of them straight, so put down the supports and you're done. There are tent pitches with covered seating and 2 rental caravans, a covered barbecue hut and a small children's playground. The sanitary facilities are in top condition and the showers have no tokens or coins. There is also a small but nice children's bathroom, washing machine, dryer and shoe dryer. You can also cook and do the necessary washing up in the communal room. Information about the surrounding area, games to borrow and the "essentials" are provided directly at registration, including bread rolls on Sundays. All in all, a great overall package for this small campsite, where some larger sites can take a leaf out of their book. Many greetings from Havelberg and thank you for a wonderful stay.Automatically translated. No campers have found this rating helpful yet. Be the first!
