"Nice place - A campground we really liked, though it didn’t have anything particularly special about it. Everything is clean, modern, and newly built. It’s just a perfectly ordinary campground in a beautiful setting. For the prices they charge here, I’d expect to be by a lake rather than in a valley. The only downside in this case is the on-site restaurant, which didn’t impress us. Unfortunately, the Karoli Water Park—which was the reason we chose this campground—was closed for renovations during our stay, something we only found out once we got there. Maybe we’ll give this campground another chance to win us over.

"Great campground - We absolutely loved the campground. There was nothing to complain about. The restrooms were great—always clean—and the staff was friendly everywhere we went. The restaurant was cozy, and the food was amazing. Keep up the great work, and we look forward to our next visit. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to say goodbye to owner Rainer Bauer, so we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you—we highly recommend this wonderful place.

"Very dog-friendly!!!!! - We were there with our RV and our dog!! Everything was great!!!!!! The restrooms were very clean!!!!!! Great area for walking the dog!!!! TOP restaurant with a beer garden!! Petting zoo for kids!! Spacious campsites!! Great Wi-Fi!!!!!!!

"Weekend, Aug. 13–16, 2026 - I highly recommend the Camping Resort Bayerwald. Come check it out and see for yourselves. For me, it’s one of the most beautiful places in Bavaria. We’ll be back soon 😘😘

"Well... - In the area surrounding the children’s playground, there’s no such thing as a quiet afternoon—it feels like you’re at an amusement park. Maybe we should have a word with the parents here. Most of the dogs there were better supervised and better-behaved. I think it’s much worse for the many animals in the petting zoo right next door. They deserve much more peace and quiet; having the playground right next to them just doesn’t work at all.
