Description

Profile
Camping Prek Harusha is located in Thethi valley at the place called Qender (Center). Thethi valley is surrounded by mountains with an outstanding beauty, one of the most beautiful mountain areas in Albania. Here it seems as the time has … stopped because the impact of modern life to the landscape is minimal, even the road is not paved and coming to Thethi is an adventure in itself. Some mini buses make the transport from Shkodra to Thethi during all the day for a reasonable price. Traveling to Thethi offers some spectacular views of mountain sceneries which means traveling to mountain peaks you can see the deep of the valleys down 1000 m. Thethi valley is located 800 m above the sea level but the climate here is continental with fresh temperatures in summer and snow cold winters. A mountain river snakes alongside the valley into a remote mountain landscape which at the end of the valley ends at an impressive gorge. The gorge can be admired from a wooden bridge over it. Near the gorge a fall can be visited, too. “Kulla e Ngujimit” is a wetness coming from the previous time of “Kanun” (Law of mountains), it worth to visit. Thethi valley is very well marked with signages which sign the direction to different sightseeing and walking / hiking paths. There are also different walking and hiking trails used by tourists to visit places of outstanding beauty in the mountains around, even a signed climbing trail. A hiking trail links Thethi to Valbona valley, another outstanding scenery of the Albanian alps. Camping Prek Harusha is situated at the garden in the front of the guest house with the same name. It offers pitches for campers and tents and a group of toilets and showers with cold and hot water. You will find there at any time the friendly members of the family Harusha ready to serve to the guests.
