Advantages
- Great location on the Isar - Munich’s city center is easily accessible by public transit; there’s a bus stop right on the grounds - The new restroom facility is well-designed and clean - Very friendly groundskeeper; helpful - Little noise despite construction activity
Negatives
- The site is currently undergoing renovations—parking capacity is limited
We were satisfied
We stayed at the campground for 3 nights and really enjoyed it, despite the construction-related limitations. The restroom facility is new, well-designed, and clean!
Due to limited capacity, the campsites are tight, so it’s best to arrive at the campground early.
We really liked the campground’s location—right in the middle of the city, yet surrounded by nature with plenty of recreational opportunities.
Bottom line: We’d love to come back again.

I think the location in Munich is very nice. The subway to the city center can be reached in 10 minutes.
Negatives
Attention construction site!
Restricted operation due to major construction site
Currently no gray water disposal, no flushing facilities and very cramped pitches. I could easily get over the lack of Wi-Fi. But unfortunately there is no indication of the current state on the homepage! We had to pay 43 euros for this...
A small consolation: the only wash house currently available... is already newly built and very well done. If the rest of the site is similar, it could be a beautifully laid out campsite. However, we wonder whether it wouldn't have made more sense to close the site completely for a year before this construction site drags on for years.
Due to the beautiful location, we will certainly come back at some point.

Advantages
The campsite is centrally located, you can get to the center quickly by public transport
Negatives
High unjustified prices Sanitary facilities not usable Place untidy and neglected
Rather not
Of course we were there when the Oktoberfest was on, so the price for an overnight stay might have been so high.
But the sanitary facilities were so dirty and broken that we couldn't use them.
The whole campsite looks neglected and dirty.

Beautifully situated in the green.
Negatives
Very expensive for nothing. Electricity €5.60 per day is a real cheek. 2.10€ for a shower token but 6 minutes, whereby it takes 1-2 minutes until it gets warm. The man at the registration desk has also eaten friendliness with spoons. Monopoly, what do you want to charge?
Please don't do it again!

Advantages

Negatives
-) the rest
Actually a disaster
Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this site. From small plots (where there is just enough space for the caravan and the car, but then there is no more space to sit outside with chairs or to open the door of the caravan safely), to absolutely underground sanitary facilities (where hot water is a matter... of luck despite 2,20 per coin is a matter of luck and the time where it is warm is hardly enough and all hooks and toilet lids are broken or dismantled), distances to the power box where a 25m cable drum is not enough, to the hot water for washing up for a fee or the questionable refusal of the sales clerk to pay the deposit for empty bottles ("we don't do that")...

Only the good-humored staff at the reception, the acceptable quality of the snack bar and the proximity to Munich can be rated as positive. But that's not enough, it's better to go somewhere else.

Reasonably good location near Munich

Service, information, pitch, sanitary facilities, reservations, etc
evaluation
First of all, it's annoying that you can't make a reservation, then we arrived and there was a mega long queue at reception, which could be made quicker with reservations. Then the man at reception was very relaxed for the many impatient guests, made a mistake here and there and asked again from the... beginning and there is no such thing as a site plan either. Then we were allowed to look for a place ourselves in a meadow where there was virtually no more space, we wanted electricity, he said "yes, I don't think we have anything with electricity", but booked electricity anyway and we could just look for it ourselves... (the website says: we have enough space and that's why you can't make a reservation, it would have been less stressful for us in any case).

without reservation no system in parking everything for a fee
the only advantage is the size and location
I have to say that so far probably the worst camp we have been to in Germany. There are water taps at the campsite, but they are not working - you have to pay for water at the only place in the campsite. Water for dishes for a fee, hand washing for a fee... perhaps only the public transport in front of the reception seems to be an advantage. otherwise the surroundings of the campsite beautiful park, in summer swimming pool...

The location and the Bavarian humor at the reception 🤪 Explanation of how to get to the RB concert

The sanitary facilities are horrible, we had never seen anything like it before. They also put the announcement somewhere where there's electricity and everyone stands all over the place 🤨. If it wasn't so sad, it would be really funny. You have to be there 😳😔😕🙂🙃
Our location is our attraction - the rest is 🙈 😑

Advantages
Great location to explore Munich.
Negatives
No toilet seats Flushing in the urinals does not work Unfriendly staff Small uneven seats
Horrible sanitary facilities - unfriendly
Fortunately, we had our sanitary facilities in the camper van with us. The facilities on the campsite are an imposition. There were no toilet seats in the men's toilets. The urinals did not flush. One sanitary block is completely closed and apparently serves as a bulky waste collection point. If you... come with a tent and are dependent on the sanitary facilities, you need strong nerves. Some of the pitches are small and rather uneven. It's a shame how you can make so little out of a good location. The price-performance ratio is not good at all.

Seriously ..... ?!
The place itself is ok. You have your peace and quiet. But the sanitary facilities ..., they are really bad! No toilet seats, not really clean.... -That's not possible! There are no water connections. You need an extra large cable drum for the electricity connection.

Location and friendly staff

The sanitary facilities are totally outdated. Only three toilets (men's) had toilet seats, the showers (€2) were very outdated and run-down. Hot dishwater only for an extra charge!
Great location, sanitary renovation backlog
The location of the pitch is ideal, but you have to compromise on comfort. For the price, however, you get much more at many other campsites.
It's a shame that the existing reviews describe exactly what we found.
The city of Munich would benefit from a little more quality on the campsite.

The sanitary facilities are really the very last! Disgusting, unclean would be a nice description! Toilet brushes never changed - no glasses on toilets - shower facilities even worse than toilets... have seen outhouses that were cleaner and more hygienic. Gentlemen at reception more than unfriendly If you want a vacation and want to wash yourself, you are not doing yourself any favors here! We were shocked

Disgusting
Thank goodness we were only at the campsite for one night. The sanitary facilities were mostly closed and when they were open they were very dirty and disgusting. There was a toilet in a medical supply store that was overflowing with excrement 🤢🤮
As experienced campers, we've seen a lot but this was very borderline and in a city like Munich.

Free choice of pitches and fairly quiet location.
Negatives
The pitch is absolutely overpriced, the sanitary facilities are dirty and there is no free hot water for washing up.
Camping on the outskirts of Munich
We had no other choice and had to choose this site due to a visit to Munich in the absence of another. The site itself would be a gem if at least the sanitary facilities were clean and modern. Unfortunately, there is a lack of both, plus a charge of €1.90 for hot water in the shower, which is far too... small and calcified. On the plus side, there is a direct connection to the Isar cycle path and a bus to the nearest subway station stops right outside the door. The kiosk fits in with the sanitary facilities, absolutely poorly stocked and lousy opening hours (7am-12pm). The restaurant offers bottled drinks and a very good, freshly made pizza.

Advantages
Location on the Isar, easy access to Munich city center, spacious grounds, free choice of pitches
Negatives
Aging sanitary facilities, unusual toilet facilities (mostly no toilet seats), partially defective sanitary facilities, expensive but poor showers, you even have to pay for flushing, partially defective power connections at the pitches
This place has potential!
A family visit took us to Munich with our motorhome, but we only had a few days - which was fine in the end. The campsite itself has absolute potential - very well located, spacious, plenty of room, not very crowded (certainly due to the pandemic circumstances), but even if there had been twice as many... visitors, you could have avoided each other. The Isar right next door, some of the pitches even with a view of the Isar, but were then too shady (and cool) for us, but we could easily switch to a sunnier pitch. Bus stop right in front of the square, to the subway in a few minutes by bus, on foot about 15 minutes, zoo also right next door. Wonderful for cycling, you don't even notice the proximity to Munich, you are very quickly in the middle of the countryside, Schäftlarn Monastery sends its regards. Several beer gardens nearby, supermarkets at the subway station. So far - so good... the sanitary buildings are probably quite old, which is not a problem in itself - but you get the impression that there hasn't been any investment for a long time. A shower token for 1.90 euros!!! (for 8 minutes) And then the showers don't work properly, no adjustable head, the jet is more like a pressure washer, and the water is aimed directly at the back wall - still manageable for a bald guy like me, but someone with a lot of hair really has a problem. The whole place doesn't look very inviting either, most of the toilets don't have folding seats, washbasins without hot water look more like a laundry room and there was no way to dry your hands. But soap and disinfectant were available. Ignorant cleaning staff - without a mask (although mandatory), a toilet flush was hanging (water was constantly running), didn't bother the lady - so I hit the flush button lightly and everything was fine. The automatic flushing machines were probably defective due to a lightning strike...

The lovelessly designed CP
Fulfills its purpose
There is only one fitting description for this campsite: functional. This site lives from its absolutely fantastic location in the heart of Munich. To explore the city, it doesn't get any better than this. Everything else is practical, but nothing more. The campsite does not invite you to spend your... vacation at the site. The grounds would have to be significantly improved for this. The sanitary building was clean. I found the cost of the showers (€1.90/shower) cheeky. Unless this corresponds to the local rate.

Everything is getting on in years. So please refurbish and renovate!
Where there is a will, there ...
As I was told, the responsibility for the campsite lies in the hands of the city with a heart "Munich". It's worth questioning whether the sanitary facilities shouldn't have been renovated some time ago. After all, the entire site really is located in a beautiful area. So, show some will, renew the sanitary facilities in a child-friendly way, then you will be awarded at least one more star for every question.

Outdated sanitary facilities
Ideal location - outdated infrastructure - price corresponds to Munich standards
The campsite is sensationally located in the middle of Munich and yet absolutely quiet in park-like surroundings, easily accessible even with larger mobile homes. You can reach Hellabrunn Zoo in ten minutes by bike, always along the Isar floodplains. Another ten minutes and you are right in the center... or at the Deutsches Museum. In bad weather you can get from the campsite to the center in about 30 minutes (bus line135 from the campsite entrance to Thalkirchen subway station, then with U3/U6) Gastronomy was closed during our stay - therefore no rating possible. Reception staff very friendly. Only the sanitary facilities spoil the picture (very outdated, but still relatively clean) Overall an ideal starting point for visits to Munich.
