"A very nice campsite - A very cozy campsite, with private sanitary facilities and a 130-150sqm plot. Everything is beautifully maintained and the adjacent leisure park is included in the price and is great for children. Free food and drink, ice cream too. A real paradise for children.

"Recommended for a short trip - We were there over Halloween. Very cool with a great playhouse and really cool zombies. The theme park is quite small, but it was enough for the kids (under 12). There were other things going on in the evening for Halloween, so it made up for the few rides. Fast food junkies get their money's worth!!! Hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, soup, ice cream, soft drinks and coffee are included in the price, which is really good for your figure ;-) The "private sanitary facilities" are small wooden huts with a toilet, a washbasin and a shower. Everything is very cramped and the whole place is wet after showering. Especially in the fall, the room was very cold without heating and had to be warmed up by showering. It's a good place to stay for a short break.

" - For our one-week summer vacation this year, we chose the all-inclusive Drouwenerzand campsite. The campsite only has a few tourist pitches, but they were virtually unoccupied and we had a free choice and were able to choose a large, quiet pitch away from the busy road. Each pitch has its own wash cubicle, very small, WC, washbasin and shower at ground level without a partition, and after showering the whole cubicle could be cleaned, which can be seen as an advantage or disadvantage. It is more comfortable in some wash houses. The whole complex consists mainly of vacation homes and there is also a small hotel. The main attraction is the small leisure park, emphasis on SMALL. A few nice rides and playgrounds for children up to the age of 14. When you register you get a card with which you can enter the park and then eat and drink as much as you like from about 11:00 am until the park closes at 6:00 pm in summer. The first 3 days were great. But there is no variety. ALWAYS: French fries, hamburgers, meat croquettes, frikandel, soft rolls and a soup of the day. Fresh fruit, ice cream, coffee, tea and indefinable sparkling water in two flavors. There is plenty to do in the area, Emmen is not far away and the Hoogeveen campsite is also very close with a lovely lake and indoor swimming pool. In summary, I would say: very nice for a short vacation for families with small children. Price/performance very good
