"This spot is only suitable for a one-night stopover - The campground is part of the AZUR Group. As a camping specialist, it should really have good staff on site. We were visiting relatives in Hanover. We had booked the spot in advance through AZUR in Baden-Württemberg and had already paid for it. Upon arrival, we checked in at the restaurant, in a corner with a computer. There is no reception area. The employee barely understood German. We were told to go to site No. 90. When we got there, it was occupied. We went back to check-in and were then assigned site 79. When we checked out, we were checked out from site 83 by a woman who had once been polishing glasses in the restaurant. The staff there apparently has to do everything and has only received superficial training. The access road to the campground is quite an adventure. You have to pull over onto the left side of a heavily trafficked road—which has two lanes in each direction—and block that lane until you can turn in. The main paths on the campground need to be repaired; there are many potholes. When it rains, you have to wade through puddles that have formed to reach the only washhouse, which is showing its age. The dishwashing area is too small, and you can smell the sewage because the campground toilets’ drainage system, although physically separated, is connected to it. Presumably, everything is connected to a single sewer pipe. When you take a shower, you end up standing in water because the drains are clogged. The building is in urgent need of renovation, and since the campground is quite large, another washhouse in the back would be beneficial. The cleaning staff tries their best, but with such large crowds, things just can’t stay perfect for long. Otherwise, you have to do everything by car, which you can’t even leave parked. No public transportation on site. Hiking is a no-go. On the plus side, there’s a restaurant with good, simple food and drinks. But it’s only open Thursday through Sunday. Conclusion: Dear AZUR Team, with this camping boom, don’t just pocket the money—invest some of it too. We, for one, won’t be coming back.

"Well, I guess - Close to the highway, so it tends to be noisy. Basic restroom facilities that aren't always clean; many long-term campers. The site is better suited for travelers passing through. The surroundings and the narrow access road are rather dreary.

"Good place for an overnight stay - Very friendly reception. Pitch right next to the wash house quite restless. Size of the pitch okay, but partly with coarse gravel. Separate toilets and washbasins/showers, sufficient number, but getting on in years. Sanitary clean, but problems with mold in the showers. Lake and playground on site, lake not inviting for swimming. Price for one night quite high.
