"Ok for one night - The homepage promises a nice, lively site with a restaurant, bar and pool for relaxing. In fact, you wonder whether this is really the campsite you booked. The pool is small and there is an additional charge, which we probably forgot to mention. The bus to Bologna only runs every 2 hours. The mosquitoes are a real nuisance, you have 5 of them on your leg as soon as you get off the bus. And when I read that the problem has been going on for years, I wonder why nothing is being done. The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities is subterranean, we have rarely seen dirtier ones. Perhaps the cleaning staff should use more cleaning agents and water instead of occasionally wiping with a dry mop. All in all, not a CP that we would recommend.

"Theft - We parked our van in the parking lot of the Citta de Bologna campsite with a clear view of the reception. There, the narrow side window (where only one child could fit through) was broken open, the rear door was opened and two bicycles were removed and a laptop stolen. The bicycles were secured in the wheel lock and additionally locked together with a fat bicycle lock. After the front wheels had been removed, the thieves must have been on site with a van to transport them away. All this certainly took a while and happened at the camera-monitored campsite right in front of the reception and nobody seemed to have noticed. The staff showed little empathy and thought it had never happened before. The police station in charge, on the other hand, was not surprised, as there are regular problems with theft at this campsite. If we had known this beforehand, we would have been spared a lot. When we ask the campsite staff what kind of settlement it is opposite, with lots of caravans, a circus tent and the entrance gate, he tells us about a church organization that is currently meeting here. That is simply untrue. The campsite is not safe and is not recommended simply because of the attitude of the staff in problem situations.

"ok to visit Bologna, otherwise not recommended in our opinion - The mosquito plague was combated by spraying a mosquito killer in the middle of the driveway, but not on the pitches in the hedges/bushes. Pitches are extremely small for caravans, flight path to Bologna Airport, attention: German-speaking reception wanted to keep ID documents for the stay, this is not possible, German ID documents must not be handed over! So it's better to have an ADAC or ACSI card with you. The campsite is poorly lit at night and the showers were only lukewarm. The staff are beyond description. We have never experienced such arrogance and unfriendliness, not only towards us, but also towards other arriving guests. WLAN is supposed to be available, never worked during our stay.

"Ideal place for overnight stays - We were only on the site for one night on our way south. It is ideal for this thanks to its location close to the highway. But this site is also more than adequate for a longer stay in Bologna. The pitches are large enough and very level. The sanitary facilities are very clean, albeit a little dated. There is a restaurant on the site. Otherwise, however, the surrounding area is more of an industrial landscape, without many opportunities for shopping or eating out. My conclusion: absolutely okay for a few days. Above all, the site has a fair price-performance ratio. You don't get the night for free. However, I know of places that are much less well equipped but charge considerably more!
