The restaurant was good and reasonably priced. The restrooms were clean, and the shower had nice hot water. The staff was friendly.

We really liked the campground itself, though I would recommend installing water faucets at the campsites. The swimming pond was almost completely empty due to the hot weather.

We'd love to stay at Alpenblick again
Check-in and registration were friendly and hassle-free; everything was explained clearly. The Campingstüble is closed on Mondays (as of 07/26); reservations are recommended. The only downside: the “swimming lake” is a brown sludge that you wouldn’t voluntarily go into. Otherwise, it’s a great location as a starting point for hikes and bike/MTB tours. There are several alpine dairies, cheese shops, and breweries in the immediate vicinity.

The location of the campsite is very good.
You can get to Lake Constance and Östrrwixh very quickly. Other places in the Allgäu are also easy to reach.
Our tip: Schmidsfelden glass studio - a great little glass-blowing village. It's best to make an appointment if you want to blow glass yourself. otherwise you can just go shopping
The café in the village is also great.

Stayed for 10 days in one of the cottages (Blockhauser) in the camping area. We thought the price-quality ratio was fine. The view is from the terrace with otherwise fine chairs was a bit limited. The area on the other hand offers many opportunities for hiking and cycling. Pity is that you can't take... a nice walk directly from the campsite and that there is no good path to Lindenberg. You have to walk up partly on the paved and steep road behind the campsite. At the campsite there are many permanent sites, but fortunately also quite a few free pitches. Nice is the small restaurant at the campsite and the friendly staff. Irritating is that the barrier is closed between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.; unnecessary and patronizing. What was not so bad is the noise from the main road behind the campground. Because the campground is located a little lower, you have fairly little trouble with that, and I say that as someone who is very sensitive to that.

- Very beautiful location that lives up to the name "Alpenblick". - Small, cozy restaurant with very tasty food. - Extremely friendly and helpful staff from reception to the groundsman. - Clean sanitary facilities at all times.

- The route to the campsite is a little tricky for larger vehicles (8m and over), but can be mastered by experienced drivers. - There are 5 showers each for men and women (3 of which are closed cabins and 2 with curtains only), which is a bit tight when the campsite is full.
We will be back...
We stayed at the Alpenblick campsite over New Year's Eve to celebrate the turn of the year with friends. Originally our stay was planned from 27.12.2025 - 03.12.2026, but unfortunately we were too late with our booking request, the place was fully booked.
On 29.12.2025 in the afternoon we received a... call from Alpenblick to say that we had received a cancellation for 30.12 - 03.01, which none of us had even begun to expect. So we quickly packed everything into the caravan, got a good night's sleep and set off for Lake Constance at 3.00 am. We arrived shortly before 12 noon and received a very warm welcome. Our license plate had already been checked in and shower cards had been deposited in a small locker. The campsite has both permanent and transit pitches. With a few exceptions, the permanent campers were friendly, as were our direct neighbors who were also permanent campers and very friendly. The sanitary facilities are a bit tight with a full pitch, but we made arrangements with each other. Which is also very commendable... The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but fully functional and always spotlessly clean (even though the pitch was really full).
On the night of January 2nd to 3rd there was a lot more snow than the weather services had predicted. We were snowed in and would not have been able to get our caravan away from our pitch (which was in a hollow) so quickly, despite the four-wheel drive. Without hesitation, the groundsman (thanks again Andi) pulled our caravan up the entire stitch with the tractor and snow chains after he had cleared the site. We were both very nervous but he did a great job.
All in all, we found a campsite where the old camper spirit is still alive.

We'll be back in the summer....

We spent a few very nice days at this campsite and were completely satisfied. The whole site is really exceptionally clean and well-kept - you can tell that the team attaches great importance to tidiness and a feel-good atmosphere. Even the sanitary facilities were always in tip-top condition, which... is not always a given on campsites.
The staff were friendly and helpful at all times, whether at reception, in service or on the pitch itself. You were always greeted with a smile and even small requests were dealt with immediately and without complications. As a guest, you feel welcome and in good hands.
The Camping-Stüble was a real highlight: delicious food, fresh ingredients and moderate prices - the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. After a long day outside, the schnitzel tastes twice as good when it's served with so much love!
The prices on the square itself are also fair and transparent. No hidden costs, no small print - simply honest and in keeping with the quality on offer.
One small fly in the ointment (in the truest sense of the word): After heavy rain, our pitch was quite soggy. The ground is somewhat clayey, which means that the water doesn't drain away immediately. Of course, this can only be blamed on the weather - it's not the pitch's fault. Perhaps a few mats or gravel would be helpful in constant rain, but that's complaining on a high level.
Overall, we can highly recommend the campsite. If you value cleanliness, friendly service and good food, this is the place for you. We will definitely be back - hopefully with a bit more sunshine in our luggage! 🌞
