The noise caused by falling acorns is unbearable. There’s no way to get a good night’s sleep. There’s a loud bang every time one of those things hits the roof of the car. It’s even worse when it’s windy.

Our campsite was freshly mowed and clean before we arrived. The short walk to the beach and the fantastic fish sandwiches at the campground are really great.

The entire campground is very well organized! The cable TV service is also excellent, since satellite reception is limited due to the relatively large number of trees. The service is top-notch, just like the restrooms.... Shopping is no problem either, since there’s a supermarket right on the grounds. We also highly recommend the beach chair movie theater! Information about it is available next to the bike rental stand, to the right of the reception desk! First, the positives:
Very friendly and helpful staff.
The grounds are regularly swept and mowed.
The restrooms are top-notch and 95% spotless; the other 5% is due to campers who don’t know how to behave properly.
The restaurants are very good... and, here too, above the typical campground standard.
Shopping options are available and good.
We didn’t use the entertainment or spa facilities.
Now for the criticisms and the reasons why the campground didn’t quite meet our expectations.
We were parked at the top of the campground behind the movie theater (115)
This site is designed for large vehicles, so in my opinion, it’s hard to understand why it’s an unpaved spot. The previous camper had maneuvered in such a way that aligning the trailer was extremely difficult. This is unacceptable for a 5-star campground in the top category. Furthermore, there was no privacy due to the road running right alongside the open side of the site; a hedge would have been desirable here, though repositioning the vehicle is very difficult due to the power, water, and sun. After a rainy day, our site was very muddy, and after we left, the ground looked as if a tractor had been rampaging through it.
Since these points are very important to us and we did not find a single site on the entire campground that met our criteria, we decided to make this a one-time visit.
For anyone who doesn’t consider these points important, the site is a very good choice.
