- peter k.October 2023PositiveSee commentNegativSee commentary. NOTHING more will be invested here, as these investments can never be amortized. In addition, there are so many campers on PPs, pitches, etc. today who never need, let alone use, the infrastructure and therefore nothing is done.Condition of the square is completely outdatedSept/Oct 2023 Good and spacious access. The campsite is signposted on the road. English and German spoken.
Reservations are not absolutely necessary at this time (site is/was 30% full). Replies by e-mail are answered. The site is terraced. The camping pitches are located in the upper part. In between... there are bungalows. The road is a rumble track.
The sanitary facilities are more than outdated (even if the doors have been replaced at some point), but are still clean, there are enough wet cells and equipped with paper. The showers are "excellent" by Italian standards. You can get bread in the market without pre-ordering.
The pool is ok. But you need a swimming cap...
The nearby highway is more or less perceptible depending on the chosen place....But no problem at night.
The price was E 40.- for 2P and Ele. in the NS and for the sanitary quality etc. at the upper limit....Automatisk oversat. - Judith Alice H.May 2023Positive-great view of the typical Tuscan mountains -Quiet sleep possible -fireflies in the meadow -quick access to Bomboli ParkNegativ-Sanitary facilities old, moldy, tiles falling off the walls 2/10 -Costs, 19,50€ per night for one person with a tent 3/10 -City proximity 7/10 -connection by bus okey, often didn't come or too late or drove past the bus stop despite waving 6/10 -Walking up from the bus stop with luggage 2/10 -Friendliness of the staff 5/10 -Choice in the restaurant, hardly any vegan dishes 4/10 -Costs and selection in the mini market 5/10 -Costs for washing machine 6€, dryer 4€ 4/10 -Cleaning and maintenance of the common rooms/areas 4/10 -Wifi only available in 2 areas of the campsite & slow 1/10 -Pollen flight, bad for allergy sufferers like me -Wild boars take my tentI don't knowthe walk with my 30kilo backpack was unpleasant, not only because of the climb, but rather because of the men who called out to me from their cars, whistled and honked after me or more than unpleasantly patterned my body as they passed me. the sanitary facilities are a disaster, the tiles are falling... off the walls, the ceiling is moldy, some chair boxes are missing & often the toilet paper was missing. in the shower there was no way to put things down/hang things up protected from water. it all seems a bit run down and the price...my god. 19,50€ for ONE person with ONE tent. not even in the main session. the bus connection wasn't bad but quite often the buses didn't come at all, were late or just passed me by... I only recommend it for the fireflies.Automatisk oversat.

- Markus P.September 2021Positivevery quiet, in the forest, lots of shade, free choice of pitches, very friendly staff, everything you need on siteNegativWashrooms are not up to date (no soap, no disinfectant), bar, restaurant and store very spartanmpio67for the proximity to Florence but very idyllically situated in the mountain lots of shade and airyAutomatisk oversat.
- Andrea K.October 2019ConditionThe campsite should be completely renovated. The sanitary facilities have probably not been repaired since they were built. Everything very unkempt. Ideal location for visiting Florence.Automatisk oversat.
- Monique H.September 2019PositivePlumbing, nice location by river, spacious sites, nice pool.NegativThe adjacent road can give a lot of noise if you stand there. But you are free to find another spot for yourself.Nice and clean plumbing. City campsite, on busy road, but quiet on theBeautiful campsite, the road gives a lot of noise, but a little further in the campsite quiet places. Clean, modern sanitary facilities. Ideal to go to Florence by bike, along the beautiful river. We even stayed here longer than planned. Dog friendly.Automatisk oversat.
- Marc W.June 2019PositiveIdeal for exploring Florence. Dogs allowed. Also easy to reach with a large vehicle. Pool.NegativClean but everything a bit "outdated"Tour through TuscanyThe campsite is laid out in terraces and is easy to reach even with a large motorhome. The pitches are mostly shady and there is certainly something for everyone. We had almost free choice at Whitsun without having to book in advance. Ideal for sightseeing in Florence as you can reach a bus stop in a... few minutes on foot. The store has everything you need but that was it. We also treated ourselves to a pizza there in the evening. It was good. Showers & toilets are clean but unfortunately also very outdated. Dogs are welcome. As for the background noise, the campsite towers over the highway on one side. It's not really annoying but it's a constant noise. However, there are also pitches facing in a different direction.Automatisk oversat.
- G.October 2017Positiveideal for sightseeing in FlorenceNegativurgently needs a refresher! In every respect...Ideal for excursions to Florence and the surrounding areaBus station within walking distance, good connections to Florence! Camping itself doesn't have much to offer. Swimming pool closes at the end of September - a pity! Everything is outdated, nobody seems to be motivated to keep it tidy... Sanitary facilities old, but are cleaned regularly. Staff nice, helps as much as possible Bypass road is audible...Automatisk oversat.
- Simon s.July 2017PositiveVery close and practical to visit Florence.NegativNot enough bathrooms, too far from our pitch. Expensive.Expensive and unpracticalThis was the most expensive of all the campings we stayed at in Italy (90 euros for 1 night with our caravan) and we didn't enjoy it. We had to walk very far for toilets or water access. The highway was really loud. The food expensive for small portions.
- Torsten G.April 2017PositiveClose to the city of Florence, good starting point for excursionsNegativVery old sanitary facilitiesIdyllic location, but outdatedBeautiful natural meadow pitches. Unfortunately, everything is in need of renovationAutomatisk oversat.
- Юрий Г.September 2015PositiveClose location in relation to Florence and the autobahn.NegativExpensive wine in the store. No "shuttle" to Venice like the Rome campground.ComfortableComfortable. Cozy. Clean. Bungalow has dishes, gas. Not convenient to get to Florence. Walk to the bus about one kilometer. You can't park your car in Florence.Automatisk oversat.
- Eehard K.July 2015PositiveShady and good bus connection to the city centerNegativSanitary in need of renovationJuly 2015 3days FlorenceVery suitable for visiting Florence. Bus ticket is available at the reception. The ride to the center about 15 min. Staff very friendly and helpful. Sanitary clean, but in need of renovation.Automatisk oversat.
- Lorenzo D.July 2014PositiveNone.NegativMoisture and clutterGeneralCamping poorly maintained, with small plots on terraces impossible to climb because of the steep slope, very humid. After checking in, I leave again to Firenze, where I find another one close to the city and very good value for money.Automatisk oversat.
- Tanja S.June 2014PositiveFriendly, clean, quiet, nice pool, good bus connection to Florence, independent choice of pitchNegativSwimming cap compulsory, power lines, hardly any level pitchesNice place for excursions to FlorenceWe stayed at the campsite for two nights and felt very comfortable there. The bus connection to Florence is good and cheap. You can get bus tickets at reception, which is also recommended as you can't get them on the bus. The walk to the bus stop is a bit long, but manageable for older children and adults... (10-15 minutes). The compulsory swimming cap is annoying, but unfortunately this is still very common in Italy. There is a nice but very determined "watchdog" at the pool who makes sure the rules are followed. He also keeps the young people in check, who often arrive here by the busload to go on their graduation trip. The pitches are spread over a large, beautiful Tuscan hill. Unfortunately, high-voltage power lines run across a good third of the site. The pizzeria is quite nice, but there are so many nice places in Florence itself that you would really be missing out if you didn't take every opportunity to eat there. But be careful, check the prices beforehand, otherwise you'll suddenly be paying €5 for a cup of coffee like we did.Automatisk oversat.
- Walter O.June 2012Beautiful campsite and ideal for excursions to Florence (good bus connections). Sanitary facilities are good. Nice pool, unfortunately you lie in the blazing sun after swimming, no shade. The distribution of the pitches is a bit chaotic as there are no numbers. But otherwise recommended.Automatisk oversat.
- Uwe a.July 2010A very good place to stay overnight on the way to southern Italy. Also ideal as a starting point for visiting Florence.Automatisk oversat.
