Very nice idyllic place, pure nature, very nice attentive staff, facility including sanitary facilities well maintained. Requests are implemented without complications. Example: We had registered that the users of the tent meadow walk over the camper pitches, which is extremely annoying. After 2 days the tent meadow was separated from the camper/wagon area with a fence. Problem solved . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, will definitely be back.

Have been promptly abolished as described above 👍

We felt completely comfortable and would have liked to extend our stay, but unfortunately it was not possible for scheduling reasons.

Great place
We had a wonderful stay at Friesland Camping! The location is simply unbeatable - right in the middle of nature, with a beautiful view of the surrounding fields and waters. The pitches are spacious and well maintained, and you immediately notice how much love and dedication has gone into this campsite....

The sanitary facilities were always clean and modern, which surprised us very positively. We particularly enjoyed the many leisure activities in the area, such as cycling, hiking and water sports. Suitable for families and couples alike!

A particular highlight was the friendly and helpful service. The team on site was always available and made sure that we felt completely at ease.

We will definitely be back and can highly recommend Friesland Camping to anyone who wants to spend a relaxing time in nature.

The campsite has the potential to be a truly idyllic place
Negativno
Comfort lake view pitch 13 (costs the same as all other lake view pitches) no own electricity, water and waste water connection. This is not indicated! Full payment is demanded immediately before viewing the pitch. Sanitary facilities in unacceptable condition without regular cleaning.
Disappointing stay despite beautiful location
The campsite has the potential to be a truly idyllic place, but unfortunately this potential is severely dampened by serious shortcomings in the facilities and service.
We booked a comfort pitch with a view of the lake online, which was supposed to be equipped with fresh water, waste water and electricity... connections. On site, however, we discovered that pitch 13 had neither its own electricity connection nor a proper water or waste water connection. Instead, we were supposed to share the electricity with the neighboring pitch 12, which we were not informed of beforehand. Our request to provide a Gardena coupling was only met with a tired smile and a "not possible".
It was particularly annoying that the remaining payment was demanded in full before we had even viewed the pitch. A refund for early departure due to the defects was refused, which gives the impression that the operator has no interest in responding to customer requests or rectifying defects.
Another major annoyance was the condition of the sanitary facilities. The women's washroom was very moldy and was not cleaned daily despite its poor condition. The cleanliness of the newly designed men's area was also inadequate, and here too obvious dirt was not removed for several days.
To summarize, our stay was a disappointment across the board. The management seems to be more focused on profit than guest satisfaction. The site could be a real gem if it were in the hands of operators who cared about the needs and well-being of the campers. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this site in its current form.

I can't even give this campsite one star. It was an absolute horror! The sanitary building was a cave of mold - the health department should urgently pay a visit. The toilets were full of faeces and unacceptable. In 30 years of camping I have never seen anything so disgusting. Around the sanitary building there is a completely broken veranda with screws sticking out. Without sturdy shoes you can easily injure yourself here. We had booked 14 days, but left in horror after 5 days and the operator claimed that it was cleaned daily - an outright lie! This campsite is an absolute disgrace and should be avoided.
Hands off Friesland Camping - mold, faeces and risk of injury!

Quiet campsite with a warm atmosphere
Very relaxed and quiet atmosphere on the campsite.
The campsite operators are very welcoming.
The campsite is not too big and therefore quiet, as there is little arrival and departure traffic. The site has mature trees and you feel surrounded by greenery.
The small bathing lake is right next to the campsite.
Ideal for cycling tours. Jever is easily accessible and there are lots of great cycle paths nearby (e.g. to Hooksiel)

Spacious, reasonably priced pitch with good sanitary facilities
We stopped at this campsite on our North Sea coastal cycle tour. The tent pitch is huge and is not, as is often the case, somewhere far out, but centrally located right next to the very good sanitary facilities. But don't worry, the tent meadow is so big that you can choose the distance to the sanitary... building exactly as you wish. There is also electricity.
And when it comes to electricity, the attitude of the very friendly site management is evident. On many pitches there is a flat rate, regardless of what you need the electricity for. Not here! We paid nothing to charge our cell phones. It was similar with our mini tents (2.2 x 0.7 x 0.6 m). We only paid for one tent. We had a completely different experience at other campsites.
In general, they don't try to score points here by charging quickly, but by offering good service and friendliness.
We arrived around 7 p.m. and were very thirsty. But the campsite restaurant was closed, so we would have had to drive out. The groundskeeper helped us out with a few bottles of beer, even though reception was already closed, so we didn't have any more stress.
Service and friendliness are still very important here. And at really fair prices.

What a beautiful place
We were very enthusiastic. What a beautiful place by the lake. The operators are so friendly and helpful. The whole place is very clean and well-kept.
You will definitely find peace and quiet here. Shopping everything you need around the corner and easy to reach by bike in 5 minutes. To the coast about 20 to 30 minutes by car. We would love to come back. :-)

Friendly camping
Beautifully laid out CP around a small bathing lake with remarkably friendly and committed staff. The pitches are large enough and well supplied with electricity and water. We'd love to come again!

P.S. Unfortunately, the renovation and conversion work in the sanitary building has still not been completed.... From a sanitary point of view, it was a disaster over the Whitsun holidays! Too few "ceramics" for too many guests! Although the friendly cleaning staff cleaned the sanitary facilities for what felt like 26 hours a day, the cleanliness (thanks to some guests!) left a lot to be desired!

Friendly and in a great location
The campsite is located between Schortens and Jever, both towns are easy to reach by bike or even on foot. That's why it's perfectly OK that there's no store or anything like that, the bread roll service works on advance order and everything else is available just around the corner.

Apparently the operator... changed in 2022 and the new one is still busy with the conversion or renovation. For example, one half of the wash house (there is only one, but due to the small size of the site it's perfectly OK) is closed off and male and female have to share the other half. This works better than it sounds, but - like so many things - it depends on how people behave. In general, however, there is still a lot to do. Maybe it was also because we were there in the low season, but it wasn't really cozy (yet). But nothing that really bothered us either, so everything was fine. According to the reviews, the restaurant should be really good (was still closed due to the low season) and once everything is ready, it will certainly be a great place all round.

In terms of friendliness, however, the place is already hard to beat. No matter who was sitting at reception or walking past on the pitch, there was always a friendly word and the team is simply lovely.

Even things like power supply, WLAN, chemical and waste disposal, ... everything was there and in order.

If you don't fancy the overcrowded pitches right on the North Sea and can live with a distance of 10-15 km to the coast, you're certainly in good hands here.

Sanitary facilities
Beautifully situated with plenty of room for improvement
The campsite is beautifully situated in the forest, next to a small bathing lake. The pitches in the forest are good, but due to the high demand we ended up on the tent meadow: no shade, a big mess, noisy.
The young team is very hard-working and a lot is currently under construction: new, beautiful restaurant... with beach bar.
The sanitary facilities were bad. As these are also being renovated, there were only 4 showers and hardly any washbasins for the whole site,

We felt very comfortable. The campsite has a pleasant atmosphere. The staff, be it Peter, Marita or colleagues, always had an open ear for the worries and needs of the campers. Good staff throughout. The stay was very, very nice, as it has not been for a long time. Keep up the good work, we will be back Norbert and Beate

No catering on site. No bread service in winter
Clean campsite open all year round
Well-kept campsite open all year round. In winter, however, the reception is only open Mon-Fri. V. 15-18 clock open and bread service is not offered. Staff are very friendly. Sanitary facilities are sufficient and very clean. The sanitary building is also nice and warm! Showers with shower tokens - free... in winter - access to the sanitary building with a key. Barrier can be opened with a chip at all times. No restaurant or other catering facilities. Pitches are sufficiently large and equipped with electricity and water connection - turned off in winter - the main road is clearly audible but did not bother us in winter Otherwise quiet, but there were only 6 tourist pitches occupied during our stay 😊 Overall very good value for money 2 nights for 2 adults / caravan incl. electricity and shower tokens 40 euros.

Very clean and organized
The cleanest campsite we have ever had, staff seemed unfriendly on arrival (military tone) but it is not. The place is too organized for me personally and we felt watched by other permanent campers. As we have children, we had the feeling that we were disturbing the peace of the site.
