A very beautiful nature campground with great campground managers. Nicole and Heiko definitely have their hearts in the right place, and you feel right at home. This was our third time at the campground, and it’s always been wonderful. The location is idyllic, right in the middle of the forest. This year, the small snack bar is open again, serving draft beer and a few food options. The showers and restrooms were always very clean and tidy.
Negativno
The swimming area could be a little bigger, but since this is a nature campground, no more reeds can be removed. Otherwise, there’s nothing to complain about.
Cozy, not crowded, and perfect for unwinding
A great campground with character. Nicole and Heiko, the campground managers, are worth their weight in gold. You feel welcome right away. If you’re looking for peace and quiet and just want to unwind, Drewensee is definitely the place for you. This was our third time there with our two kids, and we... had absolutely no complaints. The campground is clean, and the cleaning staff went out of their way to keep the restrooms spotless at all times. You can actually get everything you need at the small on-site kiosk.
We’ll definitely be coming back for a fourth time.

if you want to get to the campsite and you meet 2 motorhomes, it gets very tight.
Trip with motorhome
We were at this campsite on the May weekend and were traveling with a motorhome for the first time. So we didn't know exactly what to expect.
The campsite is located directly on the lake with an adjacent forest - very idyllic. The pitches offer plenty of space, so you don't have to "eat off your neighbor's... plate" and you can also leave your jukebox on without disturbing other campers.
The toilet and shower facilities may not be the latest, but they are very, very clean.
The nice lady at reception and her husband (I just can't remember their names :) ) will definitely be remembered for a long time to come:

Very quick-witted, which we particularly liked.
Everything is very informal and warm.
For example, when you pre-order bread rolls for the next day and pick them up, there is a lovely handwritten message on each bag, which made our day.

We can only recommend this campsite, especially to anyone who - like us - just wants to switch off and relax.

Beautiful playground, located on the water, site manager very accommodating, an Easter present was hidden for the child, washing machine and dryer available, water hiking area with weather protection tent available
Negativno
Snack bar only open seasonally, reception and the small store not permanently staffed, closes very early at 17:00, around the reception building somewhat untidy, sanitary building partly in need of renovation, somewhat outdated, access road to the campsite is an imposition for campers, not every pitch has its own water connection, free WLan poor range
Nice campsite with small restrictions
Beautiful natural campsite in the surrounding area with lots of leisure activities

Thank you very much for your open and detailed feedback on your stay at our campsite. We are very pleased that you had positive memories of the waterfront location, the playground and the service provided by our campsite team. We also take your comments about the opening hours, the condition of the sanitary... facilities and the access road very seriously. We are constantly working to further improve our service and infrastructure in order to make the stay even more pleasant for all our guests. Your comments help us to make targeted improvements. Vacation & slowing down? Yes, guaranteed here
Dear Nici, dear Heiko, dear Dimitri,

A big thank you for the two wonderful weeks we were able to spend with you.
We wanted for absolutely nothing.
The pitch was great - sun & shade, just as we wanted it; friendly neighbors, fresh bread rolls in the morning, a cool hop spritzer or a bottle of wine in... the evening, always super clean sanitary facilities (please give an extra appreciative greeting to the fairy godmother in the refuge).

Will we be back?
Most certainly!

It was simply wonderful with you at the end of the world in Mecklenburg's jungle.

Best regards from

Nice place, beautiful area, very friendly operators
We enjoyed our time very much, found plenty of peace and relaxation, fun on the water and by bike.
The kiosk is well stocked, the sanitary facilities are super-clean, constantly cleaned and tidied - great.
The pitch is clean and tidy.
But the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner couple is second... to none. When we had an electrical problem with the step of the motorhome, we would have been lost without you. Thank you very much for that. Veronika and Götz

Beautiful campsite in the middle of nature
Beautifully clean sanitary and shower facilities. Nice entertainment once a week in the evening. Rather quiet and suitable for families with children as the site is quite small. We've already been there twice.
The kiosk has everything you need if you forget something. Otherwise, there is a chip shop... that is open from 12 noon, so self-catering is the order of the day. Or you can go by bike or car to the next village (2 km) or the next town (7 km) Wesenberg.
Good excursion destinations in bad weather, especially in Neustrelitz. Between 12 and 15 o'clock is lunch break means the place may not be driven on. Nice playground and nice beach with shade.

goes like this
In itself a well located place, but unfortunately sometimes very noisy due to children of the permanent campers and camping youth groups.
The permanent campers apparently have their own rules, such as a smoking campfire, which was only extinguished when we were told that we would be totally fogged in.
We don't have to come here again! We left early!

Beautiful natural site with very nice and dedicated managers
We have been going to Drewensee regularly for several years.
The site is in a secluded location in the middle of beautiful woods near Ahrensburg.
The managers who have "taken over" the site since last year are very nice and committed.
A lot has been done (site signs, the sanitary facilities are currently being renovated, new managers), which really enhances the site.
The small kiosk offers everything you need to satisfy basic needs.

Investment backlog across the entire site. Sad!
It was once a very beautiful place
We have been visiting the campsite for several years now. Mostly on the outward or return journey from the Baltic Sea. From our point of view, the site is a gem in terms of landscape. As described, a park-like site is a good description. Anyone who loves nature, forests and water will get their money's... worth here. So much for the positives. Unfortunately, we have the impression that the operator, Haveltourist, is only investing in what is really necessary. This applies to the whole site including the pitches. The outbuildings are run-down and dilapidated, and the sanitary facilities have long since outlived their usefulness, both in terms of maintenance and equipment. The site's own "snack bar" only attracts guests when there is nothing left to eat and neither makes an inviting impression nor invites you to linger. The barrier at the entrance to the site has been broken for several years now and nobody seems capable of repairing it. The mini-shop's offer is adequate, even if you have to be patient at times. The tenants, who are completely understaffed in terms of numbers, are simultaneously busy with check-ins and check-outs, boat rental, mini-market, selling and ordering bread rolls, maintaining the outdoor area, appeasing disgruntled vacationers, cleaning, repairs and much more. Despite all this, I have great respect for the hard work of these people. However, there seems to have been no support from Haveltourist or investments for years now. Wifi is advertised on the square, but it doesn't work. The waste collection point is overflowing in places and in the high season the cleaning work required cannot be carried out by the small number of site staff. All in all, we are saddened by the fact that the quality of the campsite has declined significantly over the years. Haveltourist as the operator should be ashamed of itself. It could be such a beautiful campsite.

No way!!!
Since some reviews here seem to have been falsified, I would like to give the blunt truth of our "experiences" here. It is frightening what positive reviews are written here. I don't know whether the tenant has changed in the meantime or whether other rationalization measures have saved staff, but if... we compare the reviews with the current situation, then several factors can't fit together. Something is seriously wrong here. Let's start by saying one thing: this campsite ruined our vacation. Full of expectations, we set off on our journey to the highly advertised campsite at Drewensee, which is run by Haveltourist GmbH, which operates several campsites in the region. We had booked a premium (!) 145sqm pitch with a view of the lake and WiFi - the idyllic pictures on the website and the reviews on the relevant sites had appealed to us, especially mentioning the "extremely clean" and newly renovated sanitary facilities. Unfortunately, everything turned out differently. It all started on arrival. The lady at reception was friendly, but not exuberant. Unfortunately, we had to take everything out of her hands, from the much-loved, rechargeable shower chips to the quiet times. There were no house rules to be found anywhere. We had to search for our pitch for a relatively long time as there were no signs. The map we were given at the information desk was clearly too poorly drawn. The pitches were marked on horizontal stones in the ground. This made it difficult to find the right spot. As soon as we had set everything up, an annoyed permanent camper came and said that we were blocking a footpath with our awning and the associated equipment, which was neither visible to the naked eye nor on the map. So we left everything where it was. "You'll have to clarify that with the groundsman." But we didn't, as all the other campers were also at the same height. To recover from the journey, we wanted to sit down at our table afterwards and enjoy the view of the huge lake. The first huge disappointment: there was no view of the lake as it was overgrown with 1.9m high reeds. You could only see the lake from the small beach. However, the fact that we paid extra for our pitch but did not receive the service for it is unacceptable to us. Furthermore, we paid a lot of money to be able to use W-LAN. Although there was a connection, it was not usable. This is particularly unfortunate as neither mobile data nor network reception can be used on the pitch. We cannot accept these costs either. Now we come to the worst part: the sanitary facilities. There were eight functional showers available for a full pitch. There were a total of six sitting toilets, one of which was permanently locked. There were also four urinals, one of which was also permanently covered. Two other small ones were available for children, but were always used by adults. The showers are completely outdated and completely clogged at all times, as the automatic payment system (€0.90 for 3 minutes) means that there is no opportunity to clean your cubicle as a shower user. The nozzles were not adjustable, which is why everything splashed into the front part of a cubicle and sometimes even hit neighbors while they were getting dressed. Getting dressed was an art in itself with the dirt. There was hair and fluff everywhere and cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. The toilet cubicles were also full of dust, piss, shit and simply filthy. The toilets were often stained yellow and the toilet seats were rough and sandy. Every time you walked along the sanitary building, you were met with a wretched stench. The urinals were also full of piss and some of the flushes didn't work. It was really filthy everywhere, we didn't take a shower at the end of the trip and only did our most urgent needs in the disgusting toilets. Every *well-known fast food restaurant* has better toilets, which are cleaned on a regular basis against a signature. However, I also blame the numerous water and bicycle hikers, tent guests and fellow campers for the unhygienic state of the facilities. You don't let your children go to the toilet unsupervised if they are full of mud and can't pee themselves. Crowds of children also do not need to gather in sanitary facilities to play catch, hide and seek or "I'll throw sand at you". Every camper should do their best to leave a dignified atmosphere for other campers. The animation program is a little thin, which inspired a youth group to play spontaneous music. The atmosphere was great, it was really fun. The location in the middle of the forest is wonderful, but check-in, check-out and quiet times are not always adhered to. While we arrived at 3 p.m. after the lunch break and left before 11 a.m. as requested, we constantly had to observe that others - including the groundsmen - didn't seem to care at all. We made our complaints known at check-out, whereupon we were rudely referred to a hotline. Therefore, this place definitely gets only 2 stars, especially because of the disgust and the booked but not available services. It's sad, but at least that's the reality at the moment. We are afraid to give this campsite another chance. But we will certainly check to see how things develop and then take a look. Another sanitary building and more frequent cleaning could help a little.

We have been going there at irregular intervals for around 20 years. Nothing has been invested. Only collecting not investing..... For ages there has only been a small snack bar, no cleaning work is carried out on the site. Last but not least, the barrier is broken and no one observes the lunch break. The staff are very friendly and helpful. 35€ in the season for this pitch is completely excessive.
