"great campsite, well maintained - We were on your site from 12.07.-01.08.2025 and felt very comfortable. The pitch we booked was very spacious. We had space for our motorhome, a large awning and a car. Everything you need was available on the pitch, e.g. water and waste water connection, electricity and TV cable connection. We also got the pitch we had booked very early on. The sanitary building was cleaned several times a day and was always clean or was immediately cleaned again if there were any impurities. There were also enough shower and sanitary cabins for the rear pitch, where we were staying. There is also a camping cleaner, which is always very practical. We also liked the fact that there was a kitchen for people who were camping. The tepees and western houses (for rent) were also great to see. For families with children there were plenty of leisure activities, including children's entertainment and even a children's party. The site was always kept clean, it was regularly mowed or hedges trimmed, so that the place made a well-kept impression. When the weather is nice, you can explore the area on foot or by bike. Many small towns invite you to take a stroll. The small lake was also used a lot, even in bad weather. If we didn't feel like cooking, we used the restaurant on the campsite and enjoyed our meals. We can also recommend this with a clear conscience. Overall, we can say that this is a very nice campsite, the staff are very sociable and friendly and we felt very comfortable. We think that the campsite fully deserves its 5 stars. Great, keep it up! Maybe we'll come back again soon. Best regards from Remscheid! Uwe and Regina

"This was our 5th time here, - This year we couldn't go to the Baltic Sea as usual. That's why we booked again at Sonnensee, where we'd been 4 times before. We didn't get anything in the 300-seat area and had to go to the 400-seat area. Everything terrible I had heard about this area before was surpassed. There was a crowd there that I wouldn't wish on anyone. We often drove away to escape the noise. But in the end we had to go back. Now I don't want to give the impression that the whole site had to be quiet just for us. But if other campers are ruthlessly noisy and don't care at all whether it disturbs others, then it's no longer our pitch. On the last evening we complained and they wanted to take care of it. Hello, you always have to do this regularly, not just when complaints come in. We will have to look for another place in the future.

"Nice campsite but not suitable for dog owners - Nice quiet campsite, clean and well maintained, many signs what is not allowed. For dog owners, however, not suitable, only two paths are released for dogs (to the exit and to the dog meadow) We were very disappointed and will therefore not come back.

"3star place - In order to maintain 5 stars in the long term, I think we have to keep working and investing in the place, because as it is now, I can't charge 5-star prices and offer 5-star luxury.

"Nice place but not very accommodating operators - We have been coming to this campsite for years. It is very nicely situated with a small bathing lake and even a sandy beach. We liked standing in the back area at the new sani. We wanted to come again with friends at the end of August. So I booked two pitches next to each other! I paid my deposit of €35 straight away. Although I still had two weeks left, gone is gone. How stupid of me. That same evening, our friend pointed out to me that they had the dog, which I hadn't had on my radar. I called the place in the morning to clarify this. It was the older man on the phone. I told him my concerns. But HE immediately got grumpy, I wanted to embezzle the dog from him, now they would have all the work with it again and I don't know what else he said. In any case, he was quite cheeky and angry. In the end he offered me two seats in the dog area, but I declined with thanks. We were regulars!!! I'm still fighting for my deposit, even the €5 is withheld, although only €30 is charged as a processing fee for cancelations. That amount alone is outrageous. What a shame, we always liked it there. We wanted to take the whole family and grandchildren there last year. Well, they won't be seeing us again.
