"Sonneck campsite - For us as peace seekers, the campsite was nothing. Our sleep at night was disturbed by the trains.

"Anger about the restaurant - We were at the campsite last weekend with our grandchildren (aged 2 and 8) and we enjoyed it despite the poor weather. The service in the restaurant where we had dinner on Friday was also child-friendly, we didn't have to wait long for the food and it tasted good. My wife's hamburger was probably also good but unfortunately cold, which can happen from time to time. We wanted to visit the restaurant again on Saturday, as it was already full inside at 6pm and the weather was too unstable for outside, we decided to order something to take away. The staff then explained to us that they only take takeaway orders from 7pm as it was too busy at the moment. We then went to our seat and distracted the hungry children with "Mensch ärgere dich nicht" and then went back to the front shortly after 7pm to order now. The outside area was now also full, but we wanted to eat at our seat anyway. Now we were told by the staff that it was too busy and they wouldn't be preparing any takeaway food today. As we hadn't brought anything to eat (we hadn't planned it well, of course, but there was a restaurant after all) and there was nothing to buy on the pitch at this time of day, we kept the children quiet with cookies and potato chips. We were very annoyed by the behavior of those responsible because if they had been honest and sincere at 6 pm we would have had the opportunity to take the bus to Boppard to eat there. At 7 pm it was too late for that. 2 adults can cope with something like this, but as we had 2 small children with us, we consider this behavior to be absolutely cheeky. We will certainly visit the Sonneneck campsite again, but despite the good food we won't set foot in the restaurant again!

"Very nice campsite - Nice staff, centrally located. A very nice, newly renovated campsite, great cycle paths, beautiful pitches. Electricity and water not directly at the site. Unfortunately there are only containers as sanitary facilities further back on the site, normally not bad, but these are not heated and hot/cold water connections are mixed up. The sanitary facilities were particularly busy over the holidays, but the cleaning was very poor. Many campers complained about this. This should be worked on urgently. Because at a campsite like this you should also pay attention to cleanliness. Otherwise, this campsite is really very nice and we would come again.

"One of the most beautiful places - For me one of the most beautiful places on the Rhine. As an ideal hiker, I really have to say it's a dream come true. I'm there almost every other weekend because I use the route as training for my marathons. I love this place 💖

"Camping ground Sonneneck in Boppard - The campsite is a place to come back to and feel at home. The retail shop in Boppard was very nice, as was the Volk bakery in Spay. This was definitely not our last vacation at this site.
