For us, the lake was the main reason for our visit. On top of that, the noise level at the Aloha Bar is really unbearable. Other guests were also very inconsiderate—something we're not used to. - CBClaudia B.август 2026Not necessarily recommendedThe value for money isn't great when it comes to the wine barrels. At 40 degrees, a parasol would be great on the terraces. The staff at the campground restaurant are overwhelmed. I've never seen so many unwashed glasses on a long bar counter. So the overall impression isn’t positive. The value for... money is far better when eating outside the campground. Unfortunately, the swimming lake was unusable due to blue-green algae. I suppose that’s just due to the climate. The restrooms are very well maintained. The breakfast delivered to the Weinfass in the morning is a disaster. No cheese, no sausage, no butter… just small, pre-packaged portions of jam, honey, and processed cheese… 4 rolls and a pot of coffee with coffee creamer. If you don’t like jam or sweet things, you’re out of luck. The wait was about 45 minutes. The overnight stay in the barrel had been fully booked and paid for in advance, which was a bit frustrating for me—but I find it hard to understand why there were only two check-in stations open,... especially during peak season. The wine barrels are right by the lake; they’re very small and cramped. There was shade over the barrels, but some shade in the morning during breakfast wouldn’t be a bad idea. Having breakfast in the blazing sun isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. We brought our own fan, since it’s impossible to cool off inside the barrel at these nighttime temperatures. A little privacy between the wine barrels would be nice. The barrels are placed too close together. Breakfast left something to be desired; 2–3 slices of sausage or cheese would have been great. Other than that, you couldn’t really go swimming because the lake (puddle) was very muddy, smelly, and musty. Probably due to the weather—the campground isn’t to blame for that. The shower and restroom building is really very clean.
One night in a wine barrel is enough; you won’t need to do it a second time.

Everything was explained to us with great patience.
The campsites are nicely laid out and spacious enough.
The restrooms are very well maintained. Unfortunately, they aren’t always left in the same condition as when we found them....
The entire staff was so friendly and helpful...

The grounds are exceptionally well-maintained, and the lakeside campsite was very nice. The only drawback was that one or two staff members at the gate would inform campground... visitors in a very unpleasant manner that they were not allowed to walk past the gate.
